It needed the magical poetry of Sahir to bring to fore this hypocrisy that is a blind spot in the vision of Taqsidey Mashriq. It calls to trial all the 'custodians' of culture and civilisation. I have seen movie Pyaasa in my childhood and listened to this song written by Sahir Sahab. I must say that in Indian Bollywood Industry no better lyrics have been written. What a portrait has been made by Sahir through this song of our Samaj. Moreso the rendering of Savarkar is no less and that also with transliteration which becomes more understandable. I'm Rkgupta very fond of Bollywood songs. I have developed an app Rkgbollywood songs on KZbin and there's a website also. It has the best possible songs since 1930, 1600 in number.
