That’s tense. I like the lyrics. My favourite lines are “shadow is a shadow of a peach tree that will rot, king is still a king when he’s afraid he will be caught” just because of how they catch my attention, and the whole ‘not a main character’ theme is epic EDIT: huh, the way Macaque blends with MK’s shillouete (definitely misspelled this one) direction really makes him look like a shadow. EDIT 2: a year later the song still holds up, nice

I don't realy know what to say to this, that hasn't been said already. It's amazing. "Learn from kings and from shadows form demons and ghosts." Make me think about Wukong, Macaque, other demons through out the show and LBD (as ghosts). Here some lyris that just hit me + my thoughts about them: "Wear the gold in my eyes as my hope and kindness dies." "Remember what this story's about." The story of Wukong repeats again and MK becomes just like him, wich he's scared of. "And those kings and their shadows they carves out all my bones." "Shadow is a shadow of a peach tree that will rot. King is still a kingwhen he's afraid he will be caught." Refering to Mac and Wukong "Made some bad decitions, but my fate is set in stone. The Prince is left alone ..." Like he can't change anything even if he trys. Also liked how they refer to him as a prince. 1:58 and ofc just the whole section Wukong Macaque singing. "Made some bad decitions, so you're scared and you're alone pretend you have throne...when everyone is gone..." litterely what I do dayly. 3:13 I believe this is how MK thinking about himself, and it's just sad. "Breath in! The chains are loose." Shadow song referenz 🤩 "Your remain in the shadows of heros and kings!" "You'll remain in the shadow of the king... you'll remain in the shadow of the King!" He'll never be better that Wukong, so he should just stay in the shadows of the past.
