@SniffHeinkel4 жыл бұрын
@@teddymoulin906 Not true. People still put down Ghostbusters II. They act like its a bad carbon copy of Ghostbusters 1984. Ghostbusters 2016 on the other hand most certainly earned the hate it gets. It is a text book example of a genuinely bad movie. It wouldn't have got as much hate as it did if that was all there was to it. Sony deliberately caused online controversy over their reboot by insulting the fans and flat out refusing to admit any wrong doing. The cast even went on late night and they made fun of the fans calling them "basement dwelling neckbeards". They went on KZbin and they deleted positive comments on the movie trailer to make it appear like there were more haters than there actually was. People were calling them out for doing this. They were asking for it.

My big brother used to tease me as a kid (born in '83) that I could not handle the Ghostbusters. He had a VHS of GB2 which I saw in secret maybe in '92. The ghost train was the freakiest thing I had seen and lost my sleep to it (not counting to 1994 when I saw the Fly ('86) for the first time which did a real number on me). But coming back to it, I remember cosplaying as Ray at 3rd or 4th grade in a school event. I had manufactered a proton pack from cardboard and I was boasting a gray overall with STANTZ badge.

I honestly think this was better than the first film. I think there is an unfounded convention that original must mean 'best' but for me GII is an example of a sequel topping it's predecessor (Addams Family Values is another example) Consider the following - - more creative ghosts and scenes (Haunted Subway, Titanic Arrival, Scoleri Brothers ) - more memorable scenes (hard to top a walking Statue of Liberty vs the Stayed Puff Marshmallow Man) - a better villain (Vigo vs Zuul) - the team is complete. In the first one Winston only joins half way through Ghostbusters is a good film and obviously launched the franchise but for me GII is just more memorable

Janine's appearance significantly changed from "Ghostbusters (1984)" to conform to her animated counterpart in "The Real Ghostbusters (1986)." Bill Murray told Entertainment Weekly that he was very disappointed with the way that the film turned out. He commented that "Those special-effects guys took over. It was too much of the slime and not enough of us." Ivan Reitman blames "the shift of the zeitgeist" for the film's chilly reception. "Tim Burton's" "dark" "Batman (1989)" came out a week later, but he thinks "people seem to like it now." This was Janet Margolin's final film before her death on December 17, 1993, at the age of 50. Vigo was based on Vlad III The Impaler and Grigory Rasputin. When Dana and Baby Oscar are attacked by pink slime in the bathtub, Dana removing her shirt wasn't in the screenplay. No one knows if it was Sigourney Weaver's idea or Ivan Reitman's. 200 visual effects shots were used in the entire film. Henry J. Deutschendorf II, one of the twins who played Oscar, died June 14th, 2017, by suicide, at the age of 29. Oscar was born in April 1989. The glass shop is called "Orrefors", the name of a famous Swedish glass bower. Max von Sydow came in for a single day of recording. The suit and tie Venkman wears to Court is identical to the suit and tie he wore when purchasing the firehouse in the first movie. A scene was filmed, but cut in which Louis uses chicken drumsticks as bait for Slimer, so he can put Slimer in the ghost trap, which fails.
