original Trailer: Wizard of Oz 1939

When one sees "remastered" and "restored," it's generally assumed it's not the _original._ Plus, the _original_ trailer has the only existing footage of an entire musical sequence in the Emerald City that was cut. This was for one of the subsequent DVD releases.

I can remember the first time I saw The Wizard of Oz. The moment I was mesmerized was when Dorothy opened the door and everything turned to color. At that moment I was hooked and it has been my favorite movie since then.

lol this couldn't possibly be any less "original." I knew immediately when I heard the voice-over. I thought "that voice style is NOT from 1939." And sure enough - we hear "digital remaster." Come on. This is a trailer from maybe the 90s or 2000s advertising the DVD remaster.

The logo animation was 3d, but that technology wasn't available in the 1930's. So it couldn't have been original.
