I've been mulling this over for a while and this video was the "trigger" to actually discuss it with the lovely and talented Mrs. Flyslinger2. When a PA says that this kit is better equipped than the facility she works at says a lot: 1. maybe that facility needs a overhaul in leadership (yes, I went there!) 2. it IS equipped with the gear necessary to address emergency issues 3. the quality of work that the MyMedic team put into designing and equipping the bag. It's expensive. No arguments. BUT, what is the value of a life compared to this kit? I'm an avid outdoorsmen. I hunt. I fish. I'm around dangerous tools all the time. Many times by myself. It's really silly to participate in activities that could cause serious injury and NOT be properly equipped. Thanks for great work, as always.

No maybe it was misunderstood haha Brad was saying that my wife gave him better care and attention to his wound more than he would've gotten going to any hospital or urgent care. Had nothing to do with the kit. My wife is just awesome lol Thanks for watching and yes you'll find the quality on these kits are GREAT!

Having done a video about supplies and kit sizes and having a bit of a background in the area of emergency trauma I like the idea of having something like My Medic for folks to get as a whole kit or if just buying refills for a pre existing kit. We have Blaze orange waterproof “pelican-style” cases in our vehicles that have a mix of My Mesic supplies and box store supplies. Kits like these can be overwhelming when it comes to price but it’s hard to weigh the value of first aid. My recommendation if on a tight budget, but the My Medic refills and slowly build up.

Not sure if this is important for others, but I saw that the My Medic is HSA/FSA approved on their website.

Yeah I was looking into it and doing my research. Pretty cool! I don't know all the details but being able to get the kits using insurance is pretty great

Great video. How will all the items last being in a vehicle during the summer in the south?

I've been running these kits mounted in my vehicle 24-7 here in Fla and never had issues. MyMedic has them sealed so that helps a ton until you bust it open. I would always just check expiration dates on the medicines though

@@BaptismOverland is there a “boo-boo” section or kit included?
@BaptismOverland

@@KN4TUEso their smaller kits will have the basic bandages and stuff but you can take some and fit them in the front pockets for quick grab. What I have are their small "mini" kits that has those type of things which stays in my glove box. And then if we hike I just grab it and attach it to the molle panel since it's a molle style bag.

What is that tick tool?
@BaptismOverland
@BaptismOverland 4 ай бұрын
Removing ticks. If you've never removed a tick you need to make sure it's done right and none of the appendages remain in your body or you can get Lyme disease or Rocky Mountain spotted fever. It's not fun!
