The most criticised remake was the "Masakkali 2.0". A.R. Rahman was extremely unhappy with what they did and publicly expressed his displeasure. The best remake by far is "Mere Rashke Qamar". Because Firstly, the remake is sung by the late legend's nephew, Rahat FAK. Secondly, they used NFAK's original voice throughout the song in some form or the other, sometimes even fused in with the music. That's a proper good remake and a tribute to the legend.It is loved throughout the subcontinent. Now the interesting thing is, both these songs were remade by Tanishq Bagchi😂

The lead actor in Original "Aankh marey" song is also there in the Ranveer remix version. He is Arshad Varsi, one of the under rated actor who has lot of potential, hardly explored by our film makers in bollywood.

Some of them aren't remakes..... It's they were originally singles from Punjabi singers and bollywood directors wanted those songs in the their movie so they asked asked the singers to sing the same thing in Hindi (or just Bollywood-ised version).

Many songs from pakistani kawwals and maestros are remaked due to common language Punjabi and Urdu. High level soulful Poetry gazals are still lived And sufi poetry where Allah/creator is considered as a lover. But in english there aren't words to differentiate male female e.g Crazy : deewana (m) deewani Female) Mar gaya : mar gayi Hence male singers uses female words for self ; nusrst fateh sur , kailas kher etc

Sometimes Bollywood movies use the songs which is sung by singers and posted on KZbin. they ask the signers to record the same song again for the movie that's y in some songs(original and remake) the voice of the singer is same .

Many songs are not remade they are the same songs just used in different movies by leasing the song licenses. Bom diggy song had a part in the song which I had heard in an English song before bomdiggy was released I don't know how many songs were copied from English songs but I won't be surprised if most of them are.

South Indian language is different and their songs are also in different language (not much popular among indians). Bollywood doesn't remake songs of South Indian songs. All the songs you saw are all in hindi. It is kind of nostalgia ,the songs that were popular in 90's , Bollywood try to remake them. 90's songs are really EMOTION TO INDIANS(especially to 90's kids🥺).

I can recognize 2:48 (Tiger's song) tune, maybe inspired from down south - Kannada song 'ondanondu kaaladalli' from the movie Ranadheera. It was quite popular in early 90's!
