Great job! The number of views relative to the quality of their musicianship is insane! Only 1,000 views?

Bravo Anders and Bendik! I wondered what a Halling was so I looked it up and I'll relate what it is here for your viewers. Hallings are 6/8 tunes played for the dance. A Halling is a very athletic acrobatic spinning dance performed solo by fit young men at parties and weddings and can be a competition. The dance builds to a crescendo with the "hat kick". A girl stands on a chair holding an outstretched stick high in the air with a hat on the end. The hat can be 230 to 280 cm above the floor, well over the dancer's head. The dancer spins toward the hat and then in a very martial arts sort of movement, kicks the hat off the stick. KZbin videos of the dance will entertain you and you'll come away with a bit of Norwegian culture.

Fabulous guys. Really great waltz, and so nicely played and accompanied. Loved the second tune too and especially the chordal-rhythmic backing. Great pleasure. Thanks :-)

Appreciate it Bernie! There isn't really a big tradition for backing Norwegian tunes on the guitar, so I'm kinda making it up as I go. But it's great fun!

I once wrote a song with the incredibly original name of "Spring," so I understand. This is really nice, very cheerful-sounding! I always enjoy your seamless transitions into completely different pieces, too.

Happy you enjoyed it! The two tunes are a strange fit I guess, but they kinda just worked together somehow..
