Hi everyone, thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed! It is unfortunate that this helmet is not entering my personal collection but I still feel very fortunate to be able to take part in getting this helmet into a private collection where it will be taken care of and appreciated and to have this opportunity to film this great helmet for you guys! If you feel that we missed anything in our analysis of this helmet please make sure to leave it down in the comments below!

I consider the apex FJ helmets were the ones surrendered in Tunisia by early May 1943. Worth a lot due to rarity. There were several war piles of FJ helmets that largely went ignores except for a few inquisitors looking for opportunities for trade. Most FJ examples I have seen were captured and went to Great Britain as war souvenirs. These helmets came from: Major General Bernhard Ramcke’s Fallschirm Brigade Made of 4 battalions. Using traditional FJ helmets but sources say they also used the stahlhelm as a substitute or because of supply issues. This brigade was largely destroyed in the fighting around El-Alamein. Retreated westward. Oberstleutnant Koch 5. Fallschirmjäger Regiment attached to the Hermann Göring Division. III Battalion, 5. Fallschirmjäger Regiment withstood several determined attacked on their positions from British units from the 12th Infantry Division m in a fortified farm overlooking Medjez el Bab-Tunis road.

But the rarest of the rare FJ helmets were involved with fighting in Stalingrad. Only one dug FJ helmet has been found so far. Possibly shards of other helmets. Hauptmann Maurer 4. Kompanie /Fallschirm-FlaMG.Btl. An apparent heavy weapons company strength mobile complement with 2 cm Flak, Pak, and MG's, Commanded by 5 officers and about 230 members. Possibly annihilated after November 19th, 1942

Great video, never be scared to talk prices, we need to educate people to prevent scams!

Thanks for the comment Herefordshire! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! You're definitely right about the need to discuss values. The number of scams are growing day by day. However, I usually try to avoid the subject because I think that a focus on the monetary value of the items detracts from what we should be focussing on which is the historical value. I hope to see you in the comments in the future!

Absolutely gorgeous helmet. A FJ helmet is one of my most wanted pieces, although I'll probably never own one unless it's a relic. You gained a new subscriber :)

Thanks for the comment Paddy! You're completely right that the Germans were and are bad and should only be remembered as such. However many collectors including myself still enjoy collecting artifacts from that regime for a number of reasons. One of the largest factors, in my personal opinion, is that we (mankind) are often fascinated by the unbelievably heinous deeds committed by our fellow man. Hence why so many are intrigued by topics such as serial killers or North Korea, or in the case of collectors of military history the Nazi era German military. I'm actually working on a video discussing this subject so stay tuned for that!

One question that is so generic and so disturbing is that you have the tendency to make the videos longer than they have to be!! In other words - cut the crap talk and go to the essence faster!! Please!! 😢😢

Thanks for the comment nebeln. I apologize that you find my content so disturbing. However, this channel and collection is a hobby for me that I quite enjoy both doing and talking about. So the goal is not a huge amount of professional nor is it to cater to people watching my videos. Although I very much appreciate every single person who watches and supports my content, I do these videos for myself and to share my collection with the community and hopefully contribute something for people to learn from. Even if not a single person watched my content I would still be doing them because I simply enjoy it. So I will most likely not be changing my content style for the time being. So please feel free to stick around and maybe speed up the video you're watching or if you must leave us, you're of course welcome to that as well. I hope to see you in the comments in the future!
