Absolutely the best review of the Fpv and its features. Coming from big rc helicopters and a hubsan drone, this thing is mind blowing, the digital fpv view on the V2 goggles after eachine v100 goggles and hubsan transmitter screen is like stepping in to another world. I have flown 600 and 700 size helicopters without electronic stabilization and no flybar, and still I keep this out of manual mode. Don't feel like needing the manual mode just yet, its too fun just to cruise in the air with N and S modes. Feels like very expensive but buy once cry once. The view up there is breathtaking.

I think my experience will be like yours. I fly 700’s down to micros. I just ordered my DJI and it’s coming Wednesday. Your right about crying. I always choke on prices. Thanks for the honest review and big up for dropping the fly safe, fly smart message for pilots. Seen waaay too many videos of new flyers sending it over highways, crowded parks, open water, and city blocks. Also, have to agree about the smart batteries. Not worrying about my house burning down when charging is almost worth the price of admission alone. pricey but cheaper than buying a new house. I gotta say as a new flyer I have found the panic button a really great and useable tool while slowly learning Acro mode. As soon as I get freaked out on the sticks I hit that button and it's all good. I figure once I can fly confidently ill move over to a real fpv drone and it won't just be me crashing all day long and if I do it will hold up better. well, that's the hope anyway.

On the weak props: when you crash into a planet the energy has to be dissipated somehow. If the strengthen the props then the forces transfer through them to something else, which will probably break and cost more to replace. Also, more strength normally equates to more weight thus more energy in a crash and a vicious circle ensues. Golden rule with aviation: don't crash!
@MatteoMi2 жыл бұрын
Propowash: there's a "column" of air made by your props constantly under your drone. A "prop wash" happens when you end up inside that column right below you, for example if you steer around 90 degrees after a dive or you're suddenly turning 180 degrees while racing through gates. Thanks to its weight and the inertia, that will push your drone inside that "column" of air and, since that air is pushed in the same direction by your props once you've turned the drone, it'll basically cancel your push, and you'll need to compensate by giving a lot more throttle. It's always better to avoid that, some smaller drones behave unpredictably during propwash and some bigger ones doesn't have enough power to compensate, making them crash if too close to land
@metasamsara3 жыл бұрын
Love the honest and unfiltered review. I'm still unsure if it's worth it to go the lazy way for my first FPV drone... But at the same time, I love the digital video, but again, it's not very customizable. I want a drone that can do real FPV freestyle but also really good cinematic shots, and the ability to change lens and such for instance upgrading it to have lateral rotation too. I really don't like that it's not modular and repairable DIY for bigger damages. If I destroyed a 1250eur that would be the end of it no second purchase. A DIY drone is just more forgiving, once past the hassle of figuring out how to get started...

I'm one of those people who has a love / hate relationship with DJI camera drones and keep buying, get bored & sell them on. I love my fpv quads, but will probably buy one of these, if and when I can afford one, to replace whatever camera drone I have at the time. Your review here is excellent and very fair and further steers me toward the ultimate camera drone for me; smooth, cinematic style flights with the added security of DJI systems. It'll never replace my 'normal' fpv quads but would be a great additional tool when at scenic locations. Great video 🙂🙂

The DJI FPV drone is all inclusive with more features than you get on regular FPV drones for $1200.00. Like you said in your review @OriginaldoBo you can fly this thing in Normal or Sport forever and never ever even go into Acro or Manual! It needs max auto ISO/locked shutter for ND filter use like a GoPro, way less sharpening, some work on the noise in the shadows and allow things like disabling the auto RTH at 25% battery. Flight performance could definitely be improved drastically with tuning. They need to allow a post-stabilization workflow either with their own software or gyro embedded in the metadata. They need an accessory to lock or reduce the soft-mount. Light breezes can shift the camera. In the goggles it looks like the drone can't even track in a straight line because of it. The only real use it has for experienced pilots is flying far over water or in sketchy RF conditions.

@@eco999 I got some dizziness when using the virtual simulator, however, actual flight outside, the experience was completely different, I haven’t tried manual mode outside, just normal and sport mode, there are times when I feel that I’m leaning slightly when making bank turns, other than that, it’s all good.
