We can rebind Google Assistant/Gemini on Chinese Roms with apps like Key Mapper (Volume Key) or Activities Launcher (Power Button). It varies from brand to brand, for example Xiaomi HyperOS doesn't work well with Key Mapper but we can use the power button to wake up assistant with Power Button using Activity Launcher.

I have a Vivo x100s (only Chinese version}. It's impossible to make a Whatsapp call via Bluetooth with the smartwatch, while with Samsung (Chinese firmware) can do it. All Chinese brand have this issue. Any suggest?

Go for the beta option then you receive it directly, I did it yesterday with my vivo xf3p. And it even solved a minor issue with the Tesla app

Yes but you lose the ability to use the home button like traditional android. You can only use it to exit or switch to recent apps.

@@birdz9252 If vivo is what you're looking at, then I suggest the Chinese ROM because apparently OriginOS is considerably better polished than Funtouch OS. Though you need to make sure you won't run into compatibility issues with 5G bands back home.

I'm leaning more towards the Global Version because I don't seen too many differences but everyone says the same thing you have said in other videos. @@birdz9252 I'd say it's worth it to wait a month or two for the Nothing Phone 3 to see what it'll be like, however there's no official talk about it whatsoever yet. All they've said is "early 2025". But if you can't/don't want to wait and don't have compatibility issues, then yes, I'd say the vivo X200 Pro mini is the most pleasant phone to use at this price range at the moment. OriginOS just makes sense. Although I have to admit I don't entirely hate Honor's Magic7 Pro either, especially with the latest update.

What happens if you type in an english prompt for the AI assistant? Will it recognize it? The AI seems to know and understand english and there it even happend, vivo is probably just limiting it to chinese.

@@redlottery It responds in English. But it's not as useful and definitely not as 'eloquent' as it is in Chinese. Also it can't recognize more than a few English words at a time, it'll stop listening. It's almost as if the UI doesn't allow it. I even tried asking it to always respond in English even if I speak to it in Chinese. It said okay but didn't last long.
