Even if the genes seem very similar, that doesn’t disprove a creator. That just proves we have the same creator who creates things similarly. But not the same.

But the similarity of the genes is not the point, its a bit more involved. The genes are not just similar, but are distributed in the natural world in a way that shows a pattern called a nested hierarchy. That pattern arises from branching processes. Railing against similarity is irrelevant - you need to explain the pattern that is a hallmark of evolution.

Any change in dna is an actual lack of information not an addition to the already dna that’s there. There’s something about the differences in us now that’s important. You don’t see any results of current t evolutionary things happening either. Humans are humans and dogs are dogs and cats are cats.........the list goes on and on. God made everything according to its “kind”, and God saw that it was very good. Last week I spent a few days in the woods and we are so much more then animals, we are supreme beyond the animals. Raymond Palmer You are also correct that Jesus was there during creation. For by him and through him all things were made. “And God said” (Genesis 1)that’s the Word (Christ) making the creation. However, he never lost dominion. And his coming into the world was not to get power back. His coming into the world was to atone for our sins and to lay his life down as a ransom for many. He exercised his power over Satan the second he didn’t give into Satan in the desert. I was raised evangelical but as I matured and gained knowledge it came down to (1) the BIble was true and all scientists and historians are wrong or (2) the Bible is an ancient manuscript of letters, poems, songs, biographies and some history. At its core it's the story of a tribe who became convinced they were chosen by their particular god. Scientific or historical truth never figured since they knew nothing of science or (real) history. The Israeli=Moab war (2 Kings) has Israel winning. But Moabite stone carving found in Jordan records the same war with a different outcome! LOL This was the standard practice - "history" favors those in power at the moment. Even today we pick and choose. We ignore teachings that rainbows, floods, earthquakes, storms, disease and deformity are divine signs because we know the natural causes. It doesn't make the stories less interesting. It's not about questioning God's narrative, it's about understanding it. The implication in the original Hebrew (placed in proper cultural context) is that Adam and Eve are not necessarily the progenitors of every human, but a pair selected to be priests to represent mankind; and appear to be at least the first *sapient* hominids. (This would explain where Cain's wife came from for example.) But they are the progenitors of the ruling line of mankind, ultimately producing the "kinsman redeemer" or Messiah. As for the "dust" thing: again, the Hebrew says ""God formed man, the dust of the earth" not "FROM the dust of the earth". Referring to man as dust or clay was a common ancient near eastern way of saying we are earthly or mortal and distinguishing us from heavenly beings or "gods". As for "evolution", yes they cook the data to exclude anything suggestive of theism. But Genesis itself says the earth *brought forth* or produced various life forms suited for various environments. Not exactly incompatible with evolution! But it happened because "God said 'Let it be so' " not by happy accident, funny coincidence and random happenstance as atheists and philosphiical materialists pretend. I’m not a geneticist. I do understand logical arguments and cognitive dissonance. This presentation is riddled with inconsistent logical arguments to justify a belief system. I started out as an orthodox Catholic grounded in absolute belief in the gospel. As I look at other religion and belief systems that grossly predate the Hebrew origins ... the similarity in the fundamental story are humbling, but punch historical holes in diehard believers in obsolete Bible thinking. All of these systems independently keep arriving at a conclusion or belief that there is a Supreme being or God ... all independently arrived at separate from the “Bible” as Jude-Christians recognize. Add science to this, and the orderliness screams that this is not random, but part of a plan from a Supreme Being or God. All these “scriptures” emphasize an understanding about why “humans” exist; how “humans” should live; how “humans” should interact with each other.

I heard the story of here in my area that a teacher gave the students an assignment to take pictures of themselves as if they were getting married in a gay marriage. The odds of sudden death from predators, illness, stavation, and catastrophic weather events would be monumental, even in the best of times, rendering the survival of just two potential mates virtually IMPOSSIBLE. *The ultimate success of ALL species depends on having as many numbers as possible, which is why ancient man began to live in groups in the first place.* But let's just imagine that this miraculous couple actually DID survive long enough to procreate, then raise the only family in human history... WHAT THEN?? This is when I tear the Good Doctor's superstitions to bits, strictly by using facts that apply to ALL types of animals, worldwide, and for all time: *Whenever you have one only one mating pair of mammals, the result will be offspring with horrendous physical mutations, fatal illlnesses, the propensity to die from all manner of disease, and with this kind of disastrous inbreeding, CONTINUE TO CREATE EQUALLY MALFORMED, MENTALLY DEFECTIVE CHILDREN, FOREVER.* This basic fact of genetics effects all forms of life on earth, and can easily be seen in the breeding of modern day dogs, also known as, "Man's Best Friend." Of course what you say is true today. Genetic defects are multiplied when brothers and sisters reproduce and cause very serious and severe consequences. But the Bible says man was created perfect, so perfect a man could live 1,000 years after the fall. In the beginning there were no genetic defects to be inherited from a still pure genome and therefore would not be the issue you claim. Without it we would not even be able to read. The study of Hermunitics is very important. So is Church history, . Ancient language studies, The History of Western Civilization, Greek Philosophy. Just things that help our mind see and look at the world through the eyes of the time being spoken of. Well, this is a pretty hard topic to discuss, because Adam and Eve were in this world about some 6000 years ago, according to the Bible and what some scholars said. I think you'll find that Christianity is always on the coat trails of science. The bible claimed a geocentric solar system as a flat earth with a dome until ptolemy proved a heliocentric one. Yes, Adam and Eve were directly created approximately 6000 years ago, actually 6019 years ago at this point but the children of the angels and God were "created" many thousands of years ago but probably not millions. Genesis suggests that time has not always been exactly as it is now. More specifically in the creation accounts says that And God said: “Let there be light.” Then there was light.e 4 After that God saw that the light was good, and God began to divide the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, but the darkness he called Night.f And there was evening and there was morning, a first day." Again, if you are discerning you will notice that "God called "the light" day, which is a substitution which works both ways. So, the 7 day creative week made up of a collection of days, by substituting the word light for day as God did in reverse there have also been 6 different types or possibly speeds of light which modern physicists suggest had to be in order to give the universe its current stability. Strict creationist's are no more correct than those that put their trust in the fossil record but are ahead of things because of their strong faith in God and Christ. There is an answer to the differences of both perspectives but most people are unwilling to compromise their current beleifs from both sides of the issue. Both are correct in some ways and both are wrong in some ways, but the answer lies in the Bible and in genuine discernment.

I do not have to know everything to know that there was no such flood. I only have to be sure about what can be tested. Life evolved and all the evidence supports that. The nonsense Creationists push is disproved by the utter lack of evidence for the Flood. And no, ancient flooding cannot prove a recent flood. Nor can multi million year old fossils prove a flood from 4400 years ago. In REAL science a theory is checked against reality. You look at the theory and see what should be if the theory is real. Evolution is supported by evidence so lets look at the Flood. By using internal evidence in the Bible it can be dated. The usual date is around 4400 years ago. That is disproved by actual written history. However this is about the geology as Creationist just deny known history. The dating for the layers is irrelevant for this as the layers themselves, and the meanders cut into them, could not have formed this way in a whopping great flood. This can be seen by anyone that goes to the Grand Canyon. ANYONE. IF there was flood there should be sediment sorted by density vs cross section as that is how suspended matter settles out of a water column. That is actual physics that anyone can test with dirt and glass of water. But that is not what we find at the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon would have this order of sediment. Lime Dust Fine sand Sand Gravel Boulders Granite base as there wasn't enough time or flooding to have a major sediment base under the flood boulders. Unless you think Jehovah made the Earth as lie. In which case why not the Bible as the lie instead of simply being the result of ignorance as it is. A god that deceives in geology is a god that would deceive in writing. What you actually get is: Limestone - water based both of those layers formed over millions of years not in a flood. More limestone different color - water based then: Sandstone - from sandunes which means NOT from water and thus not from the Flood. Shale which is finer grained than sandstone and is from water and that shows the Flood didn't occur right there But wait there is more as there is sandstone that is on top of top of mixed shale and limestone. Does not fit flood either. Next: Redwall Limestone - marine limestone - hmm how could that be below the sandstone if it was formed in the Flood instead of millions of years ago as real science shows. Can't happen the Creationist way. Temple Butte Limestone - Fresh water - Can't have the fresh below the salt in Flood Nonsense. But reality shows there was no flood in yet another layer. Muav Limestone - composed primarily of limestone that is separated by beds of sandstone and shale. Again can't have formed in single whopping great flood. s not have much in the way of fossils, some trilobites and brachiopods. Which means marine again and now below fresh water limestone. Bright Angel Shale - marine animals such as trilobites and brachiopods. Which somehow aren't in the higher limestone. Again not fitting Flood Nonsense. And not one fish among them as would be the case if the Bible was true. Tapeats Sandstone - this a marine sandstone. Then the really old stuff. Sixtymile Formation - This tan colored layer is composed primarily of sandstone with some small sections of shale. Kwagunt Formation - This layer is composed primarily of shale and mudstone with some limestone- Fossils to be found in this layer are those of stromatolites, the oldest fossils to be found anywhere in the Grand Canyon. And again no fish as should be there as ALL life that exists now should have existed at the beginning of the flood. So why would there be so much beauty in a universe if God did not create us to appreciate the beauty of His Creation? "The Anthropic Principle," contends that the universe was brought into existence intentionally for the sake of producing mankind. Neil deGrasse even takes the finely tuned universe one step further. He tells us that "one second of time had passed" from the beginning of the Universe. "Without Billion-and-one imbalance to one Billion between matter and antimatter, all mass in the universe would have self-annihilated". If this is not enough for you. We are told that all matter was created in a "Planck era" The length of a Planck era is "ten-million-trillion-trillion-trillionths of a second". Not much time for evolution to take place there. Tyson does not fight against God they way Gould and Hawking did. But he clearly is not tainted with creationist bias. So is the The Anthropic Principle and the extremely precise finely turned universe evidence for God? Francis Collins would say yes. Although some men of science would say we do not have enough evidence one way or the other so we can say with certainty. Because Atheist Scientist do not have a very good track record when it comes to their health and longevity so it does not seem to be advisable to fight against God. Science in general can say that belief in God is beneficial. For example people that are a part of a community religious group tend to live five to ten years longer and they tend to have higher levels of empathy. So even if we can not prove that there is a God, we can still provide Scientific evidence to follow the Bible and believe in the God of the Bible. We should also mention Sir Fred and his predictions: "Hoyle found that there were numerous "fortunate" one-time occurrences which seemed to indicate that purposeful "adjustments" had been made in the laws of physics and chemistry in order to produce the necessary carbon." So do we consider this evidence for God or do we just say there is a very high probability that there is a God as described in the Bible. A God that watches over His word and makes the necessary adjustment so that His Word Accomplishes His plan and His purpose. Now I realize this is just a intro to a few of the "evidences" for God.

You people do not understand the literal creation story. Do you wish to stop the decline of Christianity? Care to have a friendly debate? Just so we are clear, my provable premise is that God created everything (except religion); Moses witnessed or was shown creation over the course of a week- like a mini series on TV; modern science including evolution agrees perfectly with the literal creation story- perfectly; and neither the Bible nor science agrees with religion. Do you understand evolution, biology, and geology? If yes, congratulations! You have the capacity to understand the creation (completion) story. It agrees precisely with all of modern science. The creation story is about the transformation of Earth into a livable planet for us. It is a completion story. As life branched out, God culled it and allowed only specific forms of life to exist. The word "let" is the same as the word "allow". God allowed certain essential life as was necessary for us. Moses observed creation (in a vision perhaps) over the course of six days from a ground level perspective. This is what he was shown. Moses was a witness to these things. 1) Light- first sunlight through densely clouded sky.---------------------end of Hadeon Eon. 2) Clear lower atmosphere------------------------------------------------------mid Archean Eon. 3) Granite landmasses above the sea---------------------------------------end of Archean Eon Part 2)Seed bearing vegetation that will remain-------------------end of the Paleozoic Era. 4) Clear atmosphere- stars, moon visible---------------------------end of the Jurassic Period. 5) Animal life in the sea, and birds that will remain- ---------------end of the Mesozoic Era. 6) Land dwelling mammals including ancient humans ----- ~~end of the Pleistocene Epoch. Part2) Modern human called Man- later called Adam and Eve. There are 23 significant statements in the creation story and all are in order. They represent Earth's transition into the livable planet that it is today. The odds of the correct order occurring by chance is roughly 1 in ~25 sextillion. Evolution is excellent evidence for the creation story's perfect accuracy. How could Moses have gotten it right unless he was influenced by a higher intelligence? We've all heard absurdities like “The landmasses floated atop water” and “The Sun, moon, and stars were created on “day 4” etc...” These absurdities stem from one misunderstanding, namely, in early Genesis water above and below the firmament (expanse), cloud cover and sea water, are both called water. Note: they are, in fact, both water. The flood story is rendered entirely plausible by this one clarification as well. The sea brought forth fish and birds and earth (dirt) brought forth both seed bearing vegetation and mammals. Sounds like evolution doesn't it? Extinctions add the ultimate intelligent touch to evolution. We are all descendants of Noah who was a descendant of Adam. Adam was handmade by God. All other existing lines were destroyed at Noah's flood. Noah's sons and perhaps Noah himself were married to women outside the bloodline of Adam. Where did they come from? They came from outlying humans that had a lineage reaching back over 100,000 years. Read the creation story and consider where Cain's wife came from. Is creating and sustaining life with a process we call evolution the one thing God could not and cannot do? One other point, Heaven is defined in Genesis and is everything from Earth's surface through to infinity. It includes our atmosphere and all empty space in the universe. Evaluating the science is what I do. You don't know how entrenced you are until you do. That is why Scientific debates end up in mud wrestling matches. Whoever drowns first loses.
