I guess that was Anna Sixkiller but the cartoon really looks like Wes Studi’s mom, Maggie.

Other accounts of this story say the Iroquois lived in the Southeast. A war broke out between the Cherokee and the Seneca that lasted several generations and resulted in the Iroquois being pushed north (except the Tuscarora who remained in the area until the Yamasee Wars in the 1720's when they rejoined the Iroquois confederation). This story has been told by both the Cherokee and the Seneca.

So I don’t know much about my native culture but through my mom, my aunt and their grandmother I was told I was Cherokee. I’m trying to reconnect and learn more about it and hoping this is okay to ask and open up about. Thank you 🫶🏻

Another part of the story related by William Eubanks says the five "lost tribes" survived and are known as the Ani-Soi ("The Others"), and that one day the Seven Clans will be reunited with them in a place across the water.

I have a memory of being alive at that time, I remember the earthquakes and volcano going off. I was a priestess in training. A priest had me got in this pod like device that ran off of the magnetic energy of the Earth and stuffed sacred scrolls and Crystal's in around me. As this pod took off, the priest was was killed by a soldier/warrior. They were corrupt and trying to steal the sacred knowledge and use it for evil reasons. I could see others escaping the island on boats, but many did not make it as the sinking of the island caused tidal waves that capsized many boats. Hearing this story in Tsylagi and seeing the visuals, activated something within me. I felt the hairs on my arm stand up and get chills through my body. This happens when I hear something accurate as confirmation. Please post more stories like these. Wado

Osiyo I have little memories of times before, and also a deep resonance with hearing the language! I'm taking tsalagi (Cherokee) classes online with teacher Ed Fields through the Cherokee Nation, and so appreciate these videos as I step into the culture.
