@julian brogdon i mean sure, but thats assuming you are playing multiplayer and it is rather inconvenient to have to get potions just get resources for your equipment. In single player the only way to mine is use of explosives or exploring different structures until you can get the resources to get to the nether.

You only cant mine natural stone next to 2 other natural stone. I have a singleplayer world as a feline and there is a surprising amount of mineable stone. Ores DONT count so once you get a stone pickaxe you can go get your iron ore and such. Also getting strength potions is actually rather easy once you find a blaze spawner. You could even make an auto blaze farm. If you pair that with the origin classes addon mod and choose cleric, you can double the time of strength potions. Imo feline is pretty OP. If you're big into strip mining then yeah you cant do that until you get strength potions.

They don't have most of the strengths either. Although if this is made for survival, with items and contraptions as alternatives to the abilities, these things have a more limited capability than others. Sometimes it's worth the drawback, since almost every race can pretty much do the same things in the early game. Doesn't really make much difference, since the weakness a human has is...... A human naturally is incapable of harnessing such abilities and they're mostly the standard base. Don't take this too seriously I'm just trying to explain apologies if this offends you.

I would like to see a minecraft server running this mod, it would be really cool to make a guild full of people with these abilities. The Phantom would be a great spy, lurking around other players houses gathering information and stealing items. The Blazeborn would suit perfectly on a DPS role and even an archer role, shoting arrows from inside the lava. The Elytrian, with the flying abilities, could map the geography of the enemies terrain and track them... Oh boy, now I REALLY want to see that on a PVP server. Great video, +1 sub

Personally, I find those drawbacks really interesting (depends on what kind) because they push the boundaries of what and what you aren't in the game, in RPG terms, Ranged classes only use ranged weapons and melee classes uses melee weapons, so on and so forth. The drawbacks shown here in this mod is simply a unique and diverse version of that RPG logic, or roleplaying in a whole. It basically makes the game more replayable, and that's exactly what this mod and other roleplaying games aims to do. Shulk is not the best option, Blazeborn is the best option, out of the original Origins. However the real kicker is playing on a PVP enabled multiplayer server, as a Phantom Rogue. The rogue is a class from Origins: Classes mod by the same mod author as Origins. And is an addon to Origins adding 16 classes. And the best class of them is Merchant... in my opinion as I love villager trading.

To anyone out there who thinks Merling sounds impossible, it isn't. I've already completed a singleplayer world with it, and I'd like to share some survival tips. First off, water bottles recover 2 bubbles of your breath meter, so using a lot of them in conjunction with a Respiration helmet drastically increases your survivability on land (or just use a water bucket). I've also found two main methods that Merlings can use to traverse the Nether and look for a fortress. 1) Hunt down witches and kill them while they're drowning. This gives them a chance to drop Water Breathing potions. Use said potions in the Nether. This tactic is heavily RNG-based and will be extremely tedious. 2) Stock up on water bottles and bring a lot of obsidian with you into the Nether. Explore until your water supply is close to running out, then make a new portal and return to the Overworld to restock. Replenish the water bottles before returning through the portal to repeat the process until you find a fortress. Once you have access to a brewing stand, the rest of the playthrough can just be treated as normal, with the exception of having to chug Water Breathing pots every 8 minutes (or 16 minutes if you play with the Origins: Classes mod and chose Cleric like I did).

Tip for Enderians: water doesn’t actually do that much unless you sit there for a while, and if you have food (full hunger bars at least) you can chill there long enough to throw like 4 pearls. There’s also a water prot enchant in the mod if you’re that bothered by the weakness.

As someone who mainly plays merling, a tip for any other water-lovers! If you can get your hand on a turtle helmet or some water breathing potions, do so! The water breathing effect lets you breathe on land and for us the turtle hat's water breathing effect activates when we step onto shore instead of being wasted in the water so it gives us ten extra seconds of land time each time which is pog. Rain also helps!

@@rydergolde3169 I'm not really calling anyone out, now, am I? I don't think 152k people liked the video because of the music tho. Terraria music is funky, adventurous and bizarre. Minecraft music is peaceful, nostalgic, melancholic and lonely (in a good way). Both of the games synergize with their music perfectly. Mixing the two is a bit odd, in my opinion. But, then again, it's not illegal to add whatever music one wants in their video, not that big of a deal. Good day to you too, I suppose.
