God bless Rez and Glenn. Saw them in Carson City when I was a teen and blown away. Cornerstone magazine was amazing also. My questions were more answered here than at church. 40 years later, Broken Promises and across these fields are two of my favorites.

My first 'hard rock' Christian music cassette, loved the early ones, Awaiting Your Reply, and the first few that followed thereafter. I'm a vintage guy, grew up listening - played it over and over and over, now I check out the vintage tunes that I grew up with. Good to hear the behind the scenes interviews. Giving God the glory in so many unconventional ways. I can relate! I'm 54, still a young guy, but I have four kids (2 - 12 yrs) and my wife. They don't like Rez Band, but that's okay. Thanks - oh, I saw Rez live once in Phx, AZ, pretty cool memories.

glenn is one of my FAVORITE vocalist of all time.....period. secular or Christian.

"secular or christian" ? He's fantastic.. But not sure why u felt the need to say that. It's weird
@coolnegative2 жыл бұрын
@@vaekkriinhart4347 because many, MANY Christian artists do not receive the respect that they deserve by "other" musicians. I didn't used to, but now I listen to both Christian and secular music. To me Glenn's vocals are some of the best from both industries. Basically, I'm not saying that he is the best "Christian" vocalist, but the best vocalist....period. does that clear it up for you? Blessings!

Glenn's grey goatee and long hair. He reminds me of Tom Arraya. I met him (and Stu) at a festival in Front Royal, VA around the time that "Live: Bootleg" was released. Glenn was signing autographs. Somebody handed him a pen that looked like a little torpedo. He gave it a small throw and it stuck in the ground, lol. Glenn said: "That's a trip." My two stand out favorites are Colours,, and Irish Garden

Before Rez came along, a lot of so-called Christian rock were second rate Crosby, Stills and Nash imitators where everything was sunshine and rainbows. Rez kicked down the doors with a mighty thud from Marshall amps and hit people right where they really lived!

I was into Christian rock; lived at JPUSA. Sincere but sincerely deceived like Rez, Petra, Darrell Mansfield, Randy Matthews, Phil Keaggy, Randy Stonehill, Sweet Comfort, Barnabas, 2nd Chapter, Love Song & Larry Norman. I had a band & tried to reach kids via their music. It's unBiblical. No flesh in ministry. Glen cites what kids were into for how he started; that his music was too mellow at first. That speaks volumes! Jesus calls us to preach the gospel, not set up a beer tent with dance music.

Glenn was wrong. I grew up on Rez Band. We even pooled our resources and got the church to sponsor a concert in 1979 during the Rainbow's End tour Jesus wants nothing to do with rock n roll, it can't be redeemed for God's glory it's about sex and rebellion and defiance of authority at its core. I have repented of the years I spent in rock music. I pray everyone who calls themselves a believer joins me.
@retiringtothevillagesflori1976 жыл бұрын
wrong... thats the devils lie and abuse and pervertion of the rock you are speaking of.
@donmcc65736 жыл бұрын
Can't join you because you are wrong. There is nothing of rebellion or sex in the music of Rez Band or any other Christian rock band. Glenn Kaiser is one of the most sincerely Christian men I have ever seen, and he is no dummy. He has enough wisdom to know that what he does musically is not wrong.
@douglasoxford58316 жыл бұрын
The purpose of what Glenn and Rez was doing (as well as myself along with Armada) was focused on souls being redeemed and declaring the Gospel. It was never about redeeming music because that would not make sense.
