Orion Constellation is back. So it is time for another Orion Nebula Observation. The focus was slightly off and it was cloudy, I think the results are still beautiful. I hope you enjoy!

As much as appreciate spreading the astrophotography hobby to a larger audience on KZbin, I don;t appreciate the misrepresentation, especially with the link to a sales site. In the video you show a Sirius, or possibly last generation Atlas mount, but your link points to a more expensive EQ6R-Pro. That's kind of not cool. If people went to the link thinking they are getting what is needed to replicate your results, then found out they didn't need to spend nearly that much, they would be rightly upset. Please list the actual equipment used, don't try to upsell for Highpoint Scientific. We need Outreach in the hobby, popularizing science is a worthy task, but do it honestly.

I just saw this through a telescope for the first time last week. I had seen Jupiter and Saturn through a scope and that's one thing, but this was something else entirely. It's hard to describe the difference between what the eye sees and what the camera sees (or maybe it's actually our standard display tech that's letting us down here). The dynamic range of our eyes is so much better, the stars have a piercing, glinting brightness to them that is almost hard to look at. The illumination/reflection of the nebula from the stars is somehow more obvious as well. The color is mostly absent, which is kind of a bummer, but it's still very much a remarkable and memorable sight. Thanks for sharing these, it's so helpful for folks to get an idea of what to expect, but I'd also recommend everyone take the opportunity to take a peek live as well, it's impossible to reproduce in this format and is worth it IMHO.

In southern California I start seeing Orion (at about 9pm) rising in the east on November 1st. I never understood the stars and night sky until I walked my first dogs every night for years in the same place. One night I was looking at my dog Rosie while she was looking at me...I knew she wouldn't be with me forever...so I linked her with this constellation and I think of her and that night every time I see it. Peace to you and yours

👍👍 That's amazing! Where did you shoot from, Astromagazine? I ask because here in northeast rural Thailand the skies have become so polluted from decades of farmers burning old crops that Orion is one of the few constellations that's easily discernible in the always hazy night skies. Merry Christmas!

@@oldcountryman2795 LOL you obviously didn't read or fully understand my comment. I never said the burning of crops was something that only happened decades ago. How much would a telescope like this one cost? How much did this one specifically cost? I’ve been looking for good telescopes lately, but it’s kinda hard to find anything good that’s within budget. Preferably anything under a thousand dollars, but even if this one is more than that, I’d still like to know the model name in the unlikely case that I find myself swimming in money in the future!
