Those Orion midbass drivers are among the BEST in that market segment. They're kind of a hybrid of a pro-audio and a hifi speaker. No weak midbass here folks! Big props to ORION for making awesome gear consistently from the old-school days to current times.

Saw that they set the frequency range from 230Hz up. Was wondering how they handle from 80Hz O_o. Looking for something to play that range. Just curious. Thanks

@@aaronali8950 for that range go with the Crescendo PWX speakers. Orion says they'll play that low but most people have blown them playing that low and Orion reps said to tune them higher

Your setup is coming together nice bro. I just picked up some subs yesterday from one of my first builds I did myself in 04. Still have a little more to shoot of the install prep before I upload it. I’m debating staying with the same brand to keep it true to my old build, but you flashing all this Orion everywhere got me on the fence. Ive been debating getting an xtr2500.1d, Or something In that 1800-2500 rms at 1ohm. Shoot me some ideas if you can think of anything. The brand to match my subs i picked up is American design with Korean parts... hopefully I get my video out tonight if not tmmrw morning.

Honestly I use any equipment that's proven to be quality. Orion has impressed me so I choose to use their products but whatever you know is good I say roll with it

It's just to cover the frequencies from 80hz and beyond but if you're satisfied with your system that's all that matters

No the ohm load only helps when it comes to your amp or amps. Whether it's 4 ohm or 8 ohm it only matters when it comes to the amps ability to play at a specific ohm load. I needed 8 ohm speakers because I was using them to bridge my amp to play at a 4 ohm load

Not at all. The ohm load just matters for the amp. Some speakers claim to be more efficient at 8 ohm but it really doesn't matter long as the amp sees the correct ohm load like 1 2 or 4 ohms

Well the wattage in this situation is a wash but cone area is everything so personally I'd run the four 6.5 inch speakers

Not too bad but I'd definitely go DS18 EXL over the Orion speakers however with either selection you don't lose the loudness factor

jagboola hcca is the top of the line for Orion but both are great options it just depends on what your needs and budget is to decide on which one to get

dseville no they do not but Orion does sell some for them personally I didn’t like the design of the grill but I’d recommend the DS18 grill
