BEING QUIET IN CQB: SILENCE YOUR GEAR PICK UP YOUR FEET

In this short video we have a good time showing some very simple problems that can be avoided by a little preparation and practice: silence things on your gear that rattle and jingle, and pick up your feet when you walk. Sliding your feet only gives your opponent an advantage, and is of no use to you. Things like squeaky D rings and keys can easily be dealt with before an operation.

Completely unrelated note I’m dying waiting to see a shoot house or whatever with a room that is just full of shit. Seems like there’s so much of that in the real world. How many times I’ve had a room just almost completely filled with stuff. Most videos I see of room clearing the room only has one or two things in there. In my experience not normally the case. However love the videos guys huge potential going on here !

I’ve been using cohesive tape and athletic tape for reducing noise for metal on metal contact points, even for bundling up together extra pieces of gear, tools, batteries, tying off loose sling ends, etc. Also great for marking down gear that’s yours if you don’t have a market available. Very inexpensive, I use the P-TEX brand that you can get from Dick’s Sporting Good.

People come so affiliated with movies and video games a lot of people believe combat is indeed fast pace when in reality it’s a lot slower. Of course when the shooting starts it no longer matter. There is a video explaining gun competition shooting vs combat shooting and having experience in both is the way to go.
