This was my first proper luxury watch. I’ve owned many more expensive (still do) since from brands including Tudor, Cartier, Panerai, Rolex and GS. Yet every single time I put on or spend on more expensive watches I’m left feeling that the Oris 65 is all the watch anyone could ever need. Doesn’t stop me being an idiot and buying other watches - but it should!!

I definitely know that feeling 😂😂😂

Great comment. I understand entirely. I have quite a big collection myself but not as many luxury ones except for an Omega Seamaster and a GS also. The watch I like to put on however will probably make you laugh. It's my $35 Casio Mission Impossible DW-290 ! I just can't put it down. It's the coolest watch in my opinion. I even had a strap handmade that cost 4 times the price of the watch!😂

Thanks James, that's a very attractive watch, 100m is fine, I've snorkeled and swam a Seiko 5 but of course when diving I wouldn't trust it as back up. Only use 200m minimum then. I'm sure you'll b3 safe enough in the water with this Oris. I like the good lume too, good even with the faux patina. I only worry long term when the faux patina gets real patins, it might deteriorate too much.

Love Oris!!! One change I would make is a ceramic bezel. The shine would match the glossy dial! This is a vintage dainty diver with a dressy appeal.

Get the bracelet dude. I purchased on bracelet and then got the tropic afterwards. I love the tropic (Oris do the best on market without question) but this watch works best on the bracelet. - it’s stunning and elevated on it. Worth the extra hand in your pocket! It’ll make this a keeper for life.

This watch is stunning. I always think my first entry level luxury will be a CW, but I forget about Oris. Although this one is a bit above entry level luxury both in price and finishing. But then again, I saw some guy post that anything under $3,000 is in the “affordable” category for him. I’m hoping he was joking. 😬
@WATCHingJames6 ай бұрын
I definitely don’t consider them affordable. I think achievable is a better word. Especially on the used market. I’m a big fan of Oris. I actually just bought another. That’s 3 now in my collection

They certainly are. It is a nice touch of colour to see when you look at the movement
@RabbitWatchShop6 ай бұрын
My main issue with this particular model from Oris is the price. They charge a premium for this diver, when most of them have the standard SW200-1. I considered them many times, but the price for the movement always prevented the purchase. Only a few of these have their in-house movement. My Tudor BB54 has similar vintage vibes, but it a far better value for the money than this Oris.

Love my Diver 65, i have the two tone in bronze also known as the Bico. Fantastic vintage inspired piece, and it honestly reminds me of 1960s Rolex **Was actually impressed at -20 after 3-4 years of a non serviced sellita. Not bad at all. Bought mine off Bob's Watches for $1500 USD

Love you vids mate so enthusiastic. Love Oris too but way over priced with the selitta movement they use. You can get a CW for have the price with same movement and with equal quality n finish but not the heritage. I see Oris have their new superb in house movement but the price is nearly double!!
@WATCHingJames5 ай бұрын
I hear you. I’m not convinced the in-house movements are worth that extra cost either. I’m sure they are good. But that’s a lot of cash. I’ve bought all my Oris watches used. Which makes the value proposition much better.

Good looking watch and great video thanks. If I wanted a very well-made diver with vintage vibes, I'd buy a Lorier Neptune Series IV for less than a quarter of the price of a new Diver 65. Swiss quality without the massive mark-up associated with "Swiss Made" in my opinion.

I’ve been wanting to check out the Loriers. I’m sure I’ll pick one up one day.

Definitely a good looking one by own design. I wonder if Oris will make quick adjustment clasps. The old style with the holes is a bit a bother with my Aquis. 🕐⚙️🍸

I like the brand and have often thought of getting a Big Crown or diver from Oris, but I have bad feelings about the brand. I got interested in watches in the mid- to late-1990s. I was looking for a "nice" watch to buy then and a watch/jewelry store had a display of Oris watches in the window. I went in and asked to look at one and the salesman showed me a Big Crown and I said I wasn't very familiar with the brand. He took the watch from me and said, "Oris is a well known brand, I'm surprised you don't know it." It left a bad taste in my mouth and it still lingers, fairly or unfairly. I soon thereafter bought an Omega Speedmaster Reduced from another retailer.

17cm. Around 6 3/4 inch. It is a lovely watch. I was just looking on the website and there is a special edition blue dial which look amazing. But expensive.
@flutterstone12814 ай бұрын
@@WATCHingJames thank you! My taste in watches has moved steadily in the direction of small sizes. At one point 40mm was a minimum for me but now it seems big. But a 36mm dive watch might be too small even for me (Oris offers this in 42, 40,and 36). I wished they offered it in a 38 or 39mm.
