I have no idea why he went with 2 massive Genestealer blobs. Or why he didn't put the broodlord and other blob with the mawlock. Genestealers are 10 points each, so each of those 20 man squads are 200 points. the 20 he lost first turn was 200 points of his army gone before they even did anything... Genestealers are a bit shit honestly because they are so expensive per model and are so squishy that a decent turn of rolling from the most unshooty armies can decimate them. They aren't worth it unless you deep strike them first turn and rip apart your opponent before they can get a proper turn of shooting in.

I played a game yesterday with a blob of 19 genestealers, but i used a trygon Prime to drop all 19 of them 9 inches away from a sisters squad and they did a lot of work. Besides that though i still think a point reduction to 8 points might help with the cost of taking them. I realise now Mawlocks are a lot worse than genestealers, sine they lose the increadible trygon deep strike ability and cant take massive sything talons. But yeah, using Kraken is one of the only ways to make genestealers effective

It’s a base of incubi darkness, then thick highlight with kabalite green and then a thinner highlight of sybarite green.

The lucky trait for deathskulls is far more effective than any of the tyranid army traits. It makes a real difference.

All the Tyranid traits have really specific catches that stop them from being useful. Its strange actually because our trait list isn't even that good to begin with and other factions have near identical traits but don't have to deal with the catch. (Like Kronos re-rolling ones, but only if they haven't moved in the movement phase) like I get Kronos is meant to fight demons and all but there are so many factions who get that ability for free... why do we have to deal with a catch to all our traits? In summery, GW hates tyranids...

Couple tips for using Deathskulls: - everything has a 6++ including the buggies, wartrike and trukk - to get the most from the rerolls the order which you do things is important which I think you eventually worked out, at least for the boss nobz with their klaws. - for the shokkjump dragstas fire their shokk rifles first then the rokkit to minimise any chance of losing out on rerolls (rifle hits on 3+ so decent chance both will hit which if fired second loses you a reroll to hit) - putting a rokkit launcha in boys squads is good way to use rerolls for them in shooting. WAAAGH!

Do Deathskulls benefit from NOT taking boyz? One of their rules is that all infantry gets objective secured, wich I think favors builds with a Big Mek theme. (Big Mek warlord, lots of grots, and lots of oddboyz) Oddboyz and grots gravitate towards Meks in ork societies since they have constant need for their services.

Good BatRep. If this is your first Ork battle, I'm really impressed with how few DDD or Deathskulls re-rolls you missed. With boys, don't forget to take the free Tankbusta Bombs. You had a few opportunities to toss them and they pack a punch worth saving your re-roll for.

Great battle report thanks. I think there was a slight underestimation of the orks ability in close combat, loosing the Broodlord like that was a blow, those things are like glass cannons, but as Winters said, getting into charge range but not getting the initiative on the charges made the difference.

Best way to combat Orks i'd say is using anything with lots of dakka: Dakkafexes, Tyrannofex with fleshborer hive, hive tyrant with the 24 shots, termagants with the devourers. Hive guard with shockcannons also

That is very good match (and lucky;P) but i saw some flaws that was a bit of a pain, especially if someone tries to learn the rules from your game. one of the examples: when psychic test failed, only one die was rerolled instead of both (the highest was kept). That is already explained some time ago in FAQ and chapter approved. Apart from small flaws like that - VERY GOOD game, pleasant to watch!
