I was on the fence whether I needed to eat at BOMA on my first time at Disney World in March. When you said it was as good as my absolute favorite buffet at Wynn, 🤯 you got my attention. Now I know I have to go!!! I’ve watched others review of BOMA but I don’t know them!!! lol. But I know I can trust my Lisa and Bill. Thank you for the your timely review. Bill, you took it out of my head - Boma and Wynn are my top 2 buffets I’ve ever experienced. And the 2 desserts I was most curious about (not there when I went) are the 2 you raved about. Glad to hear it!

Her mispronunciations are part of the reason I watch the channel, they are hilarious and they never take offense to being corrected. Sometimes I think it’s intentional, like when she mispronounced chowmein a couple of videos back.

IMO Boma is the best buffet on Disney property. Had to visit at least once on each trip. Love the seafood gumbo and of course the zebra domes. The breakfast buffet is also good, easpecially the days where they have corned beef at the carving station.

Hmm…Boma has far too many soups for my liking. They should add more solid food options. Africa is a huge continent, with a wide variety of cuisines to consider. Boma’s variety was lackluster.

Just wanted to give you an update on my recent visit to Oscars. I first visited Oscars in May of 2021, for the ribcap based on your review. I couldn't believe how juicy, tender, and rich the meat tasted. It had a phenomenal crust, needed zero seasoning. Fast forward to 2024, in your most recent review, you had to send the steak back (not a good sign). So, just a few days ago, I met my son in Vegas for SEMA. I was touting the wonders of the ribcap at Oscars, he had never had one. Well, it was a disappointment. Unlike the ribcap I had in 21, this one wasn't juicy at all, the meat fibers were more like a new york cut (cooked medium), there was very little crust to speak of. The ribcap I had in 21 was also much thicker. When I compare the picture of the ribcap I got in 21 to the current, there is no comparison. None. They've either changed their supplier or the chef has loss it. In any case, I can no longer recommend Oscars for the ribcap.

That is disappointing, sorry you had a bad experience. Have you thought about writing a Yelp review about this experience? It's something that should be brought to their attention.

@@billandlisa Already written. Now, I'll have to go back to Barry's to see if they've changed. They also had a dynamite ribcap. I was hoping to make Oscars my goto for ribcap. Now I'm back on the trail for the best ribcap, lol. Been to Carver Steak, wasn't impressed. I'll next try Bugsy and Meyer's. See you in Vegas.
