Hello Everyone! It's Tom and Paul! We're The Blokes From Stoke! Sharing our love of Disney, Universal, Theme Parks, Travel, Florida and Home.
Welcome to our Walt Disney World/Florida Summer 2023 Vlog series!
This series is the start of a 15 night adventure in Florida where we'll be bringing you a whole host of new experiences. We have our first ever stays as DVC members as well as our first ever DVC member event. We get to ride Tron for the firs time in a way we'd never think possible... We'll be vlogging the first of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween parties, we go to gator land and Discovery cove for the first time and we have our first ever subscriber meet up!
You join us for travel day as we head to Manchester for check in to our Virgin Atlantic flight. We fly Upper Class on this trip after bagging some great savings on points to use for reward flights.
We'll show you a little of the 1903 lounge and what that has to offer, then once on board, we'll share our experience. We also book out The Booth in Upper Class as a treat for Tom's birthday!
Upon arrival at Orlando International, it takes a while for us to get in to the terminal, as you'll see. Then it's onward to our first of four resort stays this trip beginning with two nights at Old Key West.

Even though I'm not long back from my July trip I love a travel day and look forward to seeing all your travels around the resorts. I so wish 20 years ago when we started going to Disneyland Paris that we had looked into DVC because they had a desk set up at Newport Bay, we'de have paid it off by now🤣

Nothing worse than delays.We had the same in June returning from Paris .We we’re on runway on bus for 45 minutes due to lightning and our inbound plane had to be inspected as it had been hit by lightning too! Home to Glasgow about 130am

Great vlog guys, when we flew out in 2018 they had to divert us to Sanford because of a storm, we then sat at the stand while they refueled ( which apparently they shouldn’t of done, they made us all take our seatbelts off thought 😂) then we took off went out to sea turned around and landed at MCO! I sat in Paul’s seat 30th may2022 and my wife sat in Toms seat , plane was only one month old . Love the upper class on A350 Lady Emmeline next June it’s Premium Economy seats on A350 . You lads are simply entertaining us with style ,, keep it up lads

Love Old Key West we always stay at Port Orleans Riverside next door. We always like to get the boat down to Disney Springs instead of the bus. Looking forward to the rest of the vlogs, thought about you both on my trip to Lucca in Italy really lovely place but if you are on a cruise book an excursion like we did even if you are in a car parking is a pain and you have to park outside the old walled part of the town. Lucky we went on the trip it poured with rain in Livorno and we had very mixed weather the whole cruise. We had to miss Sardinia as the sea was so rough and it was rough all that day on the ship spent the day in the cabin feeling seasick. You guys had much better weather when you went on your cruise.

Great travel day guys, have to admit we're very jealous, its been a year since we were on holiday and back in Orlando! Rob loved the look of that Waldorf salad on the flight, and the Mac and cheese before the flight! We've still never flown upper class, premium was a big upgrade for us last time. An hour on the tarmac once you've landed sounds like a form of Florida torture. Looking forward to seeing all the videos from the rest of the trip

My wife is like Tom with airplane food,the only thing she will eat is the cream scone.😊 We are flying with Singapore Airlines to perth in November and i can visulise it now, me eating the posh food and my wife satin business class with a boots meal deal😂

Thank you guys for this blog. We’re off to Orlando in October (we’re only in Virgin Premium tho 😢). Thank you for the tip about the Visitor TollPass! This is invaluable as I always struggle with tolls in Florida. It’ll be interesting to see how it works as we’re changing rental cars after we disembark our cruise before heading back to Disney before we fly back to Manchester- thank you from Peter & Patrick better known as HighSeasEscapades

@@TheBlokesFromStoke I’ve managed a surprise reservation at the California Grill in the Contemporary Resort before we leave for Port Canaveral but want to get a reservation at The Boathouse when we get back and are staying at the Disney Caribbean Resort, but the only times that always come up available are really late. As we’re staying at the resort on Oct 21st we should be able to book tomorrow but if you have any tips they would be appreciated.
