Just found your video after searching for a demo of this product and it's the only one that popped up. I've been using this for a few months: I apply 2 layers of it and my manis last 2 weeks easily and my gel polish just peels off with hardly any effort. I dip an orange stick in acetone first and oil up my cuticles first, but after that, it's just a matter or peeling the whole thing off. No need to file off the top layer or anything.

Thats what a salon did to me with acriliycs, filed into my nail bed. That was my last salon visit since. Its been two years and i do my own nails now. Theyre really long and strong. I like your nails they look really healthy and nicely filed.

I use only Orly Gel base coat for my ladies and it does literally flake off once you remove the soaking pads. I do leave on for at least 10 full min. I agree that 5 min isn't enough but my ladies love it because there is no damage to their nails. However, I see you use pure acetone..I do not use pure acetone to remove gel..I believe that should be only for acrylic removal. I use the Harmony Gelish remover its pink and it is so much less drying to the nail beds and cuticles. I loved how you used oil before wrapping for removal. Never thought of that - Thanks for the tip!!

😊 Im a professional .. in my opinion, we spend a lot of time and money in education, licensing, continued education and even certification classes for certain product brands, that it is a bit fusturating when the un licensed can get a hold of professional products. We learn a lot about the MSDS facts of products and how to properly use them without over exposing our clients skin to contact dermatitis, which happens a lot to those who are not qualified and properly taught. The structure and anatomy of nails and so on. I watch a ton of girls on YT that aren't qualified and really, there's nothing wrong with it as long as they arent giving false information and demonstrating improper nail care. I have actually learned quite a few nifty techniques from a handful gals. So .. anywho... GreatVideo! I might need to get this Gel Base for my clients as it is a pain in the rear sometimes to remove gel. TFS! 💅❤

The Nail Polisher Hey, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I can understand how that can be frustrating. If you ever see me giving out wring information let me know. Since I am not a professional there are things that I am sure I have done that aren't good for my nails.

I heard ( not saying it's true, but something to look into) reason you can't buy the gel from website like that is that there product is 100% gel where gel nail polish is actually a mix of gel and polish .

I am a professional, we pay good money to go to school , pass boards , keep our license up to date and have certain standards because we are working on the public . I personally also pay good money to take as many classes as are available in products I will use to get certified. If people want to use products on family and friends that's fine . Me personally I have liability insurance as a business incase anything was to happen. To each their own. I also live in a state where licensing for nails or esthetics isn't required!!! So I'm not sure why products are not allowed to everyone??? I mean being licensed things are less expensive to us and we have easier access , but I can show anyone in my state how to do a Mani and pedi and they can seek out a job and then get access to products so as much as I like the idea that it's in the best interest of the company to have professionals use their products, that professional term is sometimes used to loosely.

you should with a peel off base be able to take a cuticle stick or some nail tool & just peel it right off.. I use the opi peel off & the sally Hansen insta dri top coat , the one in the mouroon bottle in a box its usually with the sally Hansen nail treatments at Walmart..anyway I use that for peel off acrylic nails and builder gels..it works like you wouldn't believe acrylics & gels just pop right off no problem... & yes it sucks that certain companies think that because a person isn't licensed they shouldn't sell their products.. I can get most any acrylic /gel supplies I need but there are a handful that do that I hate it its so irritating..i guess they don't want to make money..cause theyd make a lot more capital if they just sold to everyone like a lot of the others do ..enail couture ..naio nails..nsi.. ibd..theres a lot that sell to anyone
@tunnasch
@tunnasch 6 жыл бұрын
Chris, do you get email couture, nail, psi, ibd from their own websites, or do you find them on eBay, or another source? I agree -- the money of non-professionals is as green as the money of professionals. Too much nanny-ing -- let people take responsibility for their own actions, and if they're stupid with the products without educating themselves, that's their own fault. I think John Stossel would totally agree. :)

They do that, becouse as non licensed technician you can easily mess up something, hurt yourself or so, you need to have some chemical knowledge of how these things works and thats what most professionals know but amateurs not. Also if you do something wrong it's bad advertising for them, which they don't like. I think most of professionals are using these products and leaving the one that can be purchased by anyone to us normal ppl, so companies really don't care that much... :)
@cspaulding54
@cspaulding54 6 жыл бұрын
ya im aware why they do it..but they should also keep in mind those that require the license ..that self taught or students are probably just gonna be working on themselves or a hand ... & im in school now but honestly havent learned anything i didnt know going into it,, before i was in school & started learning on my own i did alot of research on all the chemicals i studied it because these are dangerous chemicals that do not need to be in the hands of someone careless or who just wants to play they could get hurt.. just saying

do you use this as a basecoat over your builder gel overlay? if so how do you change out the nail color and soak it off without disturbing the overlay?
@MoonlitandPolished
@MoonlitandPolished 6 жыл бұрын
nadia real I use it as a base coat and then use gel overlay. When I paint my nails I use regular polish but I use a non-acetone soy based polish remover. The remover is great at taking off polish but only 100% acetone can remove the overlay. I hope this helps 🤗

Interesting demo! I'm curious about the way you only did one coat of the gel polish though, I guess you like the look of it sheer? I was under the impression folks usually do several coats of gel. Orly is such a great brand, I just signed up for the Color Pass.

Jenn W that gel polish is thick so I only use one coat of it when I can. Otherwise it becomes nearly impossible to remove. I am excited to get the box in the color pass 😁

It depends on the consistency of the Gel Polish being used...with most brands, the Gel Polish is thin whereas others are a bit thicker

Hey! Thanks for this thorough review/demonstration. Here's a link to the full educational video on the product which might be useful to you and your viewers. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqq5dI1ngsusi7M You should expect 5-minute soak time for fast, easy and non-damaging removal and as you discovered, up to 10 minutes soak time to get that lovely flake away removal you saw in the teaser video. x

Spend the money and go to school to be a professional if you want to purchase professional products....geeish. Such arrogance in your voice because you were able to purchase it without being licensed.
