I always use a base coat under Orly Breathables too, because my nails always get discolored otherwise. Usually use a topcoat too, for longevity. It doesn’t hurt!

I didn't realize Orly Breathable polishes had nourishing ingredients along with base and top coat! Wow! I'm usually more of a fan of warmer colors, but in this collection the cool ones are calling to me. Gorgeous.

@@kaffhocker I used them with and without a base coat. They last better on my oily nail plate if I use them without a base. I do add a top coat because I like them glossy.

@@kaffhocker I also tend to use them as is without a base/top coat and not had any problems. I got a whole load of the coffee collection reduced to clear (brown blacks, warm browns, red browns) and not had any problems with staining etc. I'm a housewife and like to change my polish the second there's any damage and these polishes make for speedy change and application on busy days

I bought Fleece To Meet You already as I am a sucker for greens but I’m trying to resist the urge to buy the rest of the collection. I am an ORLY addict/obsessive. I buy other brands too but I have way more ORLY than anything else and have the ORLY ColourPass subscription. I spend way too much time and money on their website, their argan oil hand crème has my heart lol. I said I wasn’t going to get the other colours in this set but your swatches are so beautiful that they’re screaming my name. I really want to do ugly jumper (sweater) nail art with all these colours, they’re so perfect for this time of year and their cream formula is always so gorgeous that I’m always slightly disappointed when I use other brands. Their brushes are perfection, the size of the bottles is mindblowing, the rubber cap is genius… I ❤ ORLY and I think you’ve sold me on getting the rest of this collection!!

Orly is my favorite brand of polish especially the creams . They go on so nice & smooth. The colors in this batch are right on for this time of season . Definitely going to buy the whole package. I gotta say, I'm not a wide brush lover. I have really small nails and a thin brush just works better, but Orly is the exception. The brush is EXCELLENT because it is also curve and just perfectly follows my cuticle line. I just love Orly. It's my favorite mainstream brand. Love these creams, especially the blue and green, and the pun names are funny. I love a pun!

I love all finishes of nail polishes: Cremes, glitters, holographics, flakies, multichromes, metallics and thermals. No matter if a nail polish color in any of those finishes are ugly. I still think they look beautiful to me. Those Orly cremes are beautiful. It's a hard pick for me to choose which one that I love. I love all of them to be honest. I'm not negative about nail polish colors. I love them just the way they are.

I like we flannel-y made it and I'm easily suede. I'd wear those two the most. I don't think I'd invest in the whole collection, just those colors. I've got some nail art already figured out for I'm easily suede. I think I'd wear the flannel-y there yet on its own. I love it and it's unique

These are pretty, but I already spent my nail polish allowance for the year. I ended up just getting my Orly order yesterday and I picked up the halloween advent calendar, a bottle of shining armor, a couple of extra colors, and I saw that the six piece colections were on sale for $25. The colors I liked better were "In the Spirit" which are more Christmas looking to me and they are also breathable. It's good to know I don't have to use top or bottom coats with it. That was a great sale and if I hadn't already been over $100, I probably would have picked up a second option.

Hi Kelli! I usually only wear breathable nail polish, but I’ve noticed that whenever I do my polish never fully dries. I’ve tried various drying times between coats and after finishing my manicure, drying sprays, and breathable topcoat, but nothing has worked. The topcoat I purchased was said to be a quick dry one, but it didn’t actually dry my manicure like my non-breathable topcoat does. Do you have any advice for remedying this issue, or even any breathable topcoat recommendations that are actually quick drying?

Honestly I do tend to wear my breathable polishes with (regular quick dry) top coat just to keep the mani lasting longer haha so that probably helps them dry, I do still find the formula to be strengthening for my nails though 😅😅

I did in the past and I was treated very poorly by the brand for being honest (although kind) so I have no plans to ever use or mention them again! My original review is still up on my channel but I strongly do not recommend using them.

I haven't experienced staining from it but to be fair, my nails aren't really prone to staining in general! I really only get staining if I don't wear base coat with intense reds and greens but never have issues with those colors in the breathable line!

Would you consider this to be good for stamping? I recently got into stamping and it's been hit or miss in regards to which polishes will actually work or not, but some of these colors are really calling to me.

I've actually had pretty good success with the breathable line in general for stamping! They dry a bit slower so it makes it easier/less rushed for me, plus they're so opaque!

Do you remove any oils from your nail plate before painting your nails? Any type of oils (natural oils or lotions etc) can affect adhesion - wiping youtr bare nails with rubbing alcohol or acetone will remove them. Another culprit could be water exposure which swells the nail plate. Avoid applying polish within a couple of hours after a shower, and , of course, always wear gloves for anything involving extended water exposure like doing dishes.
