A well known Sacred March still widely played by Flute Bands. Written by Harry Gillespie with a few "tweaks" by L. Johnston.

Came across this and it cheered me up no end, Harry Gillespie snr was my grandfather and Harry Gillespie jnr was my father, my grandfather wrote a lot of music for a number of flute bands in and around Belfast including Ballyclare and ballygowan and led them to a lot of victories in competitions.

Harry Gillespie was a hero to one small Scottish boy in the 1950s, when he was on the BBC radio about midday, conducting (his?) 'Glenmore' march, either with Ulster Amatueurs or silmilar calibre top band. I also noticed recently he was in Airdrie Town Hall about the same time adjudicating the Scottish Amateur Flute Band competition. There was a link to I think, a Corcrain performance of Glenmore on The Fifer's Cave Website plus a lot of his sheet music, but I understand this has unfortunately stopped recently. Thanks for the picture (was that Senior or Junior)?
