I’m all for “different” and the shape of that ornament fits the bill. You went above and beyond an ordinary bauble to make this beautiful and high end looking ornament look rich and Victorian. Imagine a tree filled with them in all colors. The lace application is awesome and I need to try that!! Being a crafter, I do appreciate all the work and time you put into this craft. It can’t be stated enough how hard you work to produce the most beautiful crafts. You never disappoint. I’m seeing 35 now, exciting to see it grow week to week. Looking forward to the “clay” tutorial.

Hey there my sweet friend! Yessss the shape of this ornament really is different. That's why I got 2 of them...lol... You know, I actually didn't intend for this to turn out so Victorian. That just sort of happened. Yep you need to try the lace, isn't that so cool. You may be able to do it with the caulking. I believe that dries pretty flexible, doesn't it? 35k, isn't that amazing? @@masoncreationsetc I’ve used caulk, it takes a long time to dry and yes it’s flexible. Are the molds for this application more shallow? Do they have a name? regular molds create longer drying times. I think you’re a Victorian at heart, like me.

Yes they are really shallow. You can't use clay with them, even if you wanted to. They're called lace texture sheets. And yes, I love Victorian. It drives my husband crazy, he's not a fan. I love this ornament. I bought a differently shaped paper mache ornament from Amazon some time ago,. They came in a package of 6, but I found them too expensifve and I wanted a lot of them, so I varnished one and made a silicon mold from it. Using 2 tablespoons of the white, 10-minute cure resin, I quickly taped the mold together and rolled it, both horizontally and vertically, for a few minutes, then left it to cure for the recommended time. The result is a lightweight blank form that cost me around 50 cents. I'm going to get this form, too.

It's cream paste, and it dries very flexible. It's actually almost a little bit rubbery. It is so awesome for anything that's shallow and delicate. You only want to use it in a shallow mold. If you use it in a deep mold, it will take forever to dry. You will love it! Вот это совпадение! У меня сейчас в работе игрушка такой же формы и дизайн к ней я придумала очень похожий с Вашим. Только у меня на гранях вместо ангелочков рождественские колокольчики с бантиками. И шнур на торцах я сделала из полимерной глины при помощи молда. А в остальном будет очень похож.
