HAHA, The Restaurant was Spago! The story I have to tell regarding Spago is unbelievable looking back, I was an (insert derogatory word)!!! I called ahead for reservations stating it was our anniversary, and what a special occasion this would be. We get there, see the different settings to be seated in, (the open air area he spoke of) and are walked to an adjacent room with about 8 4 person tables in the middle, and 3 gigantic booths on either side. We are sitting at this 4 person table, but wanted to be closer so asked if we could sit in one of the empty booths. Did I forget to state the room was empty, the entire restaurant was full, except that room! We were told those are reserved, and being the quick one to judge, I was not happy. In my mind they're saving them for important people, we're in the land of the famous! I am not one to think I'm better than someone else so in my mind they should have moved us. They refused, and I, and my poor girlfriend now wife of 36 years got up and left! I look back, and think we were in this empty area of the restaurant with all other areas being very crowded so why are we seated in that room instead of with the rest of the rabble? I realized a few years later I reacted to quickly as at the least I took that experience away from my lady. I also think they knew it was our anniversary so may have had something special in mind? Then I also think why wouldn't they seat us at a booth so we can snuggle up? The entire thing was nuts, were they being supper accommodating with good intentions, or just snobbish? Either way I should have bit my lip, and a nice dinner.👍✌🗽

I realize your situation was even the next step higher with your personal guest assistant. But yeah it makes me feel a certain way but my friends LOVE it (a little too much). That may be what turns me off, the guests go to disney knowing theres a regular experience, a fast pass experience, and a luxurious experience...so I know I shouldn't feel bad about it. But when some people are able to afford the better experience, for some reason they turn into d!ckish snobs. I had a similar experience with my mom at a RESORT....all floors on the elevator functioned normal, just push a button...but we had the elite floor needing a card...so when we would get on the elevator and someone else was on, they would politely offer to hit our floor button...so embarrassingly I would say ' thats ok, thank you and pull out my card', they would be confused and asked why we had a card...awgh it was awful...i wished there has been a separate elevator.
