imagine this with with the triple laser cannons. in fact, you can do something very funny: start overencumbered with the karasawa and one or two of these cannons. then get off the big shots (karasawa -> cannon/s) and then... discard one or both the cannons! (depends on your load limit) then proceed taking the remaining AP of the opponent with the other hand's weapon + the karasawa + kicks, while being _fast as f*ck boiii_ XD

@@anthonypittman6443 the significant reduction in stagger hp is a very sizable tradeoff, but with optimized builds it doesn't matter that much because you have so much dps that you probably will one shot them before they can stagger you.

I’ve tried a setup like this, but I thought the idea was to keep enemies at bay with the threat of the flail, and then shoot with the long range energy rifles. I didn’t realize it worked better as a rushdown setup!!

So I already have a build a LOT like this but a bit heavier. Same arms and arm weapons. You can rock a heavier chest (in fact the heaviest non balam chest) for a big boost in health, + pretty much any head. And for your shoudlers? Shock cannons. The combo is even more deadly now, it's a guarantee kill on stun even before using or KRSW, in fact you can now use your KRSW full charge to try and fish for a longer range stun.

One of my favorite builds for AC fights in the arena and story was a biped that used dual nebulas and dual plasma cannons on the back. One two with the nebulas broke acs strain, and the plasma cannons MELTED the health

I made an almost identical build the other day! I used some form of missile instead of lasers I believe. I ended up shelving it cause I couldn't get it to work, so I'm excited to adjust the ac file and make it more like this one- see if I get any more success with this set up!

Pretty good build, almost identical to one I made when I went through NG++ and mostly played it in single-player. I tried using the missile launcher in my left hand instead of the plasma thrower, and that works decently well, but the plasma thrower is more aggressive to be sure.

Missile boat is valid, you just need to drop hard-lock and focus on dodging missile while closing distance. if you're hard locked, it makes you travel in an arc around your target, which is very easy for missiles to track.

A counter for missile boats as an agile biped missile build, if you use those same aperitif and soup launchers but on a light biped instead, you can keep your distance and dodge most of their missiles, while it's gonna be a lot harder for them to do so, you'll be less specialized against close range builds but i think it is a more versatile missile build than a missile boat

that's true, but the odds are still in favor of the lightweight, staying at a distance and dodging the missiles is easy, the missile boat is a hard counter for close ranged builds who aren't able to close the gap, but it's at a disatvantage against a lightweight missile build, i'm not really a good player and with that one i've never lost against a missile boat

Honestly I think this is probably more of a monster than a missile boat as it can erase you in seconds unlike a missile boat that just sends streams of explosives from miles away and chip at you overtime if you can dodge decently well.

I really wish the devs would have put more thought into the multiplayer for this game. It has so much potential to be amazing but the fact that there are only 2 game modes and 85% of weapons arent competitive in the meta shows how poorly designed it is. Fights are determined before matches begin half the time bc some stuff just cant be countered unless you have a specific weapon. Custom duels and rumbles are great though. The game shines the brightest when people just have fun and dont push for the most meta stuff.

I venture to think that the tetrapod legs are bugging the plasma thrower’s tracking the same way it affects the oscillator. That thing is way too strong on tetras, and it feels like the only counterplay is to not be in range of it in the first place

After having played Quads, I just can't bring myself to have any respect for a build running them, or any player playing them in online. You get: - Best Kick in the game - Plasma Thrower attacks don't stop you in place. - High load, AP, stability and defenses - Hover mode You'd think that the slower boost speed is the offset for all of this, but no, you can actually build around it and bring it up to a VERY respectable speed, so much so that it's not even a con. Quads literally do not have a negative aspect. You can run any build on it, they just become the default choice. Even builds that are meant to be lightweight, such as melee builds, become better when you try to configure them with a Quad legs, even if just because of the kick, not to mention the higher AP, stability and defenses. In regards to the Plasma Thrower, it may not seem like a big deal, until it's seen in practice - the plasma thrower attack 1 does insane damage, impact damage and TRACKS the enemy. If you are in range (which is very long), you literally cannot miss this attack. So put it on legs that don't stop you during this attack, and it's absolutely ridiculous. I don't even know how they should go about balancing these. Remove the Plasma Thrower aspect, nerf the kick somehow, nerf the boost speed even more. Probably something along these lines.

Not sure how to feel about zimmermans... On one hand, dual zimms on biped is kinda OP, on tank/tetra completely OP. But singularly they're one of the few weapons that can contribute enough ACS overload to make a melee build a threat to a heavy biped/tank/tetra. Even still as Oro just displayed it's still not likely to win, but it'll be even less likely after the nerf.

Really silly idea, but what if instead of neutering the zimmerman's stagger damage completely, they massively increased the recoil, so if you're firing one zimmerman, you won't really notice the nerf, but if you try dual wielding them, you have to really time your shots to not have one of them miss. That or nerf the ideal range to be shorter

They're good at _everything,_ from damage to ammo economy, which is why the stagger seems so absurd, but if they were a pure close-range-impact machine and didn't have as strong of stats elsewhere, they'd be more tolerable and you'd still be able to use a single one to enable melee builds

The reload time is already a weakness of the Zims if the pilot screw up a burst they're gonna lose big chunks of HP. Plus it seems like they haven't learned yet to use Badcook and the slow missiles to apply pressure to make that shotgun hit harder. Pilots are betting too much on burst instead of being consistant

Have a similar build except mine is built around two of the triple barrel Energy Cannons with the plasma thrower and energy pistol. Don’t use it often because it feels ridiculously cheesy, but every match I’ve ever played with it has ended in 30 seconds tops, and it has yet to lose.

This build is super powerful. Tetrapod + Yoyo can almost destroy every bipadel build. You dont even need those plasma guns. Whenever i use tetrapod vs bipadel, i feel i am cheating.

I think if you’re playing keep away like that fellow in the middle of the video that you actually need to assault boost away when you see the quad Assault boost towards you. Alternatively perhaps you Assault boost towards them and then remove the lock and try and dodge past them?

ahah, earlier I made an experimental build with which I stomped someone who copied this build in the first round. in the next two, they immediately proceeded to play super safe, hovering with the quad legs and only shooting charged shots from afar. then proceeded to "teabag" me (you know, the little very quick boosts), then just said "ok." in the chat and kicked me XD guess what, they had an anime girl as their emblem... (btw that playstyle was a problem for me because I used a tank bottom. gonna change that up and test)
