Oh wow. This is why I don’t normally do sew alongside. Had to watch thru 2 times. Was so confused until the end. Thankfully you are great at showing your work. I would need to complete one block at a time set aside where they belong then do the sashing . I get so turned around sewing together that I would have a hot mess. It is a great quick quilt to put together and of course love the 2.5 squares. Think may take some of my small scraps and cut into 1.5 squares to try smaller size. Thanks for another great video.

Have you ever done a video about how you keep your 301 oiled and clean between the spa dates? I have a black shirt bed with the triangle case and a short bed tan and oyster colored one. I remember they need more attention than modern machines. I guess I should look into finding an owner manual.

Just watched this episode again, Brenda. I always enjoy your videos and learn lots of new and useful tips/ideas. Could you tell me how big the Odd Ball works out at? Our local Maternity Unit requires cot quilts to be 24” square and I think one of these blocks might make a quilt( with a bit of extra sashing). Your lime green sashing worked brilliantly!

I can't remember what size this works out to because I sewed these blocks so long ago but it could be made bigger by changing the width of the sashing to make a 24 inch finished quilt block. Yu could also change the size of the squares if you are dealing with smaller scraps of fabric. I'm trying to do webbing with some string blocks that I am working on, but I messed up somewhere and part of them are headed the wrong direction and need to be cut apart.
