@@elite-lite2581 Not entirely, When Sherry is saved by Chief Irons. William is still in his Stage One infection with the G-virus. His mind is still in there, but the G-Virus was seeking to reproduce. And you often see the implanted corpses of people William infected. Did William save his daughter? Yes, likely the last thing his mind could do before G completely took over. There's also a shared issue of Annette and William's passion for their work consuming any sort of family bonds. Annette was killed not because of William, but because of the G-Virus. She was bathing the thing with a concentrated acid, or mixture in the lab which she thought would suppress/kill G.

William was doing his damnedest to keep the virus suppressed, but his mind was soon consumed.

Sherry child to adult version is still one of my favourite character. Most interesting character. She was infected with g virus. And after years becoming adult she gain abilities like to regenerate wounds on her body such as stabbed wounds wow.

While she’s not my favorite character she’s high up on that list. Honestly she didn’t deserve being infected by the G, even if allow her to be able to regenerate. She had an embryo stuffed down her throat. And when she was given the Devil vaccine she couldn’t be properly treated so she technically still have the infection inside of her which caused her have the ability. And THAT caused her to be tested on and the reason why the C virus was created (I think, I haven’t really caught up on the lore after RE 5). But still poor child all she wanted was attention from her parents and instead she had a embryo shoved down her throat by her “father”.

This was one of the main reasons I love Resident Evil 2. Whether its the original, the darksides version, or the remake, The relationship between Claire and Sherry is very touching. Claire cares for Sherry than her own parents ever did. Claire is Sherry's guardian angel, caring for this kid she only met through this one night during the outbreak. The ending to this game was one of the cutest things ever. "Hey. You guys can adopt me. And get a puppy. Oh, and it would be fun to play piano, Do you guys play any instruments?" Capcom has outdone themselves. Like the First Remake of Resident Evil 1, this game re-created the original game but with new scenarios but with familiar moments. Now lets see a new game where Claire and Sherry reunite or have another crisis to fight through. Just wishful thinking. P.S. You could also do a remake of Resident Evil 3 or Dino Crisis. with this game, You have my blessing.

RE3 remake is in the works as promised by Capcom if RE2 remake did well. Since it did pretty well RE3 remake is being made, RE8 will be made after RE3 remake. People miss how RE2 remake told a great story, Irons dialogue with Claire was one of many examples. The scene where Claire talks to Irons about Sherry's location reveals that Irons himself, for whatever reason, was also after the G-Virus and/or the vaccination for it. This was not known or revealed in the original 1998 game. We may or may not find out what his intention was to do with it but it is definitely interesting to know who he had ties with after Birkin mutated.
