Sometimes it's hard to repress years of "that animal is a pest that endangers wildlife" and acknowledge that it's a native and vital part of other ecosystems. So Bondi Vet being an Australian show, the Aussie viewers may not grasp that foxes are beautiful and important in English forests, because here they're a threat to so many bush creatures.
@brissygirl49973 жыл бұрын
@@stellaluuk2713 Yes foxes are an introduced species in Australia but this little baby was found in the UK where they are a native species. Hopefully little Zorro has a nice long life in the wild and not some hunter's sport.
@brissygirl49973 жыл бұрын
@@schaynegeorge4793 That's pretty much what I said to another commenter. Yes they are introduced to Australia by idiotic humans wanting to hunt them for sport, but that isn't the foxes fault. I just hope the little guy has a nice long life in the UK wild and doesn't end up on the business end of some heartless hunter's gun.

That fox is so cute. People here in the USA don't like wolves. Neither country seems to understand that if we didn't have both fixes and wolves RATS, RABBITS, and other rodents would over run us! They are EXTREMELY important for the stability of the echosystem.
@cindyrissal36283 жыл бұрын
I saw a study they did on what would happen w/o wolves. The deer overpopulated, they ate all the plants, the soil eroded, rivers changed course... I can't remember what all, but the ramifications were far-reaching & in some cases, unexpected... Really gave a lot to think about...
@zuzuspetals92813 жыл бұрын
There have been times that wolves have been a problem for cattle and sheep ranchers. Otherwise, I don't think people have problems with them. I had a neighbor who had a wolf and he was a kind, lone animal. He would stay near our two houses. I saw him when there were thunderstorms and they weren't home. He's come inside my front door and lay quietly in the entry until the storm was over then go out to stay on the porch until his family was home. He was a lovely animal that was majestic, loyan, and demanded respect.
@kfbell113 жыл бұрын
This is super misleading - foxes are everywhere in neighbourhoods and cities in the UK. A more comparable animal situation would by coyotes not wolves...
@-onlyharp-37833 жыл бұрын
@@kfbell11 thats not particuarly what they are getting at, i believe what their saying is true. Think about it; there are MAINLY Carnivores, Obnivores and Herbivores, Right? We all know dogs and their ancestors are OBNIVORES, and deer, rabbits etc are HERBIVORES, whilest rats and mice are also OBNIVORES. if the foxes, wolves, coyotes etc were to go extinct, the deer and mice would infest our crops and our natural vegitation. They would all begin to reproduce young, and those babies would grow and scatter for another place to stay- they would try to find a place with FOOD AND VEGETATION, so eventually all small plant-eating things would finish all they food and main crops. Leaving us all with no plants, greens, herbs, anything that grows from the soil. Leaving us with ONLY meat and animals. Eventually mice would begin to kill each other and gang up of larger animals for food, lowering the last fewer species of herbivores that can’t fight back. When the herb and herbivore spectrum is low, our crops will be gone and all we have now is the surviving mice and rats- infesting our houses and streets, STILL fighting for food. So we’d have nothing but rat, mice, rabbit, deer etc CARCASSES all over our towns/cities/nations/states etc.

They kill, mice, rats, squirrels etc.They are destructive and foxes keeps those populations in check so they don’t over populate. Thank you for your help to make sure this baby grows up healthy. I love foxes. Every night for last seven years I’ve been feeding foxes, they are chunky like rhinos I don’t miss a single night. I usually give them chicken carcasses and sausages they love it and cat dry food. My neighbours have complained to the council but nothing really happened and certainly didn’t deter me from feeding these beautiful dog/cat like creatures . Why are they considered vermin when they look like dogs and are very clever as dogs. . They suffer all day hiding in bushes and going through bin all night with little hope for food the least we can do is respect and help them. I love foxes.

I walked a dog, Daisy the French bulldog, for 2.5 years and she lost her battle with a collapsed trachea on the 13th. She had it longer but she was diagnosis when she was 5, last year and too far into it for the surgery. She was able to live quite well and she fought her other problems and bounced back from each new issue. I feel for the owner, it’s a very scary diagnosis and every little odd breath can be terrifying. When they’ve rested and get excited, it’s easy to forget they could get hurt from even getting to happy to see someone. Daisy was so energetic and happy to walk and play for hours but she had to be on restricted activity so she wouldn’t get worst faster. It didn’t seem to hurt her when it would worsen, she would get a new normal and she adapted to it. The hardest part was the end. She didn’t have labored breathing, she was too quite and sleeping. She faded fast but she wasn’t in pain, she was happy until she was put to sleep.
