I had a foster cat that passed away from this kind of hernia. She was a stray and possibly an older cat, we never knew much about her or how long she'd had the hernia. She passed calm and loved. Thank you for treating this beautiful kitten so she can have a long life

Absolutely miraculous!!😇 To have put her organs back into a tiny abdomen and have them function normally is amazing. The pressure on the organs in the tiny abdominal cavity could have damaged them.😬 Heard the surgeon say the organs had never even been in her abdomen in utero. Such a beautiful, blue eyed, tiny little treasure🤗🥰. The little boy's reaction was so heartwarming♥️. I think even the surgeon and staff were astonished little kitty survived and thrived.😽🥰

It's great to see that they fixed Misty's hernia. Incidentally, if had been a male cat, it would have had a "hisnia" rather than a "hernia". That's right, there are "hisnias" and "hernias". :-)

Wow, I'm so impressed with that surgery team. Apparently Dr Marchevsky has some stiff "competition" within _sash._ That little patient was about the size of the surgeon's hand. The little one must feel so good now, able to breathe freely and able to stuff her little tummy with all the yummies her family will surely give her..

Aww this is sooo sweet! What a beautiful sweet kitten and her family! I wonder what the financial cost for this was, I had an older cat who started having complications from an undiagnosed diaphragmatic hernia at 13, the surgery would have cost almost 10 thousand dollars, not in the budget unfortunately, and they couldn't do it anyway because her heart had started to fail. RIP Fluffy, I miss you ❤️! So glad this sweet kitten was able to be saved so she can live a long happy life!!

Kittens, especially rescues, can go south so quickly. I just lost a kitten last week, that had been abandoned by his mum. I'd been bottle feeding him, and then he started doing fantastic. He was growing fast, running around like a lunatic. Then the next day, he seemed a bit out of sorts. Early the next morning, he was gone. It all happened so fast, the vet said that there was nothing I could have done to prevent it, and considering that he was feral, he could have picked up anything. It could have been maternal malnutrition, a birth defect, heartworms, who knows. I'm still getting over it.

@@NatalionCygirl No effort, made in love, is ever wasted. I still have another kitten, who is mourning the loss of her friend. I'm looking to rescue another kitten to be a friend to my little girl kitty so she'll stop crying. I have a rescue dog who tolerates the cats, too. I often see them curled up together sleeping.

I don’t think so, the lady at the beginning said she could’ve been born with it and it was confirmed by the surgeon later that her abdomen was small because it has never had all the organs in the right place. So I think she was just born like that 😥
