What was the response time out of Orphek on replacement parts? I have 2 Dead Blue Plus 150’s. I reached out but no response.

Yes. I’m Calgary. Local vendor won’t bring in the 150 bars due to shipping cost.

Please note the thermal paste in this video is not enough a blob needs to be applied behind each diode on the board before putting it into the aluminum channel.

Good suggestion. I guess I could have added a little more thermal paste into the rail before adding the LED bar back in.. There was, however, still a substantial amount of thermal paste in the LED rail prior to putting it back in, hence the reason I didn't add more. Knock on wood. The rail still going strong today.

How much was the replacement bar ?? thanks
@slipknot231000 Жыл бұрын
That dried up residue that's on aluminum bar is thermal paste you should have put new on
@niagarafirecorals Жыл бұрын
The replacement was $20 plus shipping. The total cost to my front door was slightly under $50. I'm aware it's thermal paste, and it was by no means dried up. Believe me, I got it all over myself. I didn't have any on hand. However, there was still more than enough that I was not to worried about it.

I really can't believe the sloppy soldering work on the old LEDs. I see excess flux everywhere, not to mention the older tech LEDs they used.
