You haven't abandoned your roots, but have managed to consistently build your own unique style which makes your tracks familiar enough to be recognisable, but different enough to feel and stay fresh. i have not listened to this band for a while mostly because i just dont listen to melodic death metal often anymore however this song is atmospheric as hell and something special, cant wait to hear more

Note sure if you've checked out our 2019 album "Wear Your Sins" or the other 2 singles from our 2023 EP "Portraits" but we've kind of moved past melodeth and we'd probably just call ourselves a modern metal band discovering and exploring our own style now :)

@@food223 Our sound will always have elements from our roots, it's unavoidable but we think it's been obvious that each release has its own foundational sound and it's become more and more apparent over the last few releases.

@@OrpheusMetalOz honestly there is nothing wrong with melodic death metal i just tend to jump from genre's to genre's never staying on one genre for too long before wanting to something different, having revisited a few scar symmetry albums recently i more in the mood for melodic death metal atm, so will give much more of your music a listen
