Today we shall be elucidate the deeds of the High Chaplain: Ortan Cassius.
The oldest able-bodied Astartes of the Ultramarines Chapter, this grizzled veteran has endured countless wars and survived the most grievous of injuries.
As Master of Sanctity of the Ultramarines, Cassius continues to command the Tyrannic War Veterans to purge the Great Devourer from the galaxy and inspire generations of mortals to fight in the name of the Emperor.

They make rousing speeches but not based on ignorant bravado. A shame that most chaplains are seen as blind fanatics because of the title when they are the political officers of the chapters, they are just as well versed in the history of the chapters as the librarians. Moreover, their job is to study the doctrines of their primarchs and interpret them into working tactics. It's a shame that since the librarians are depicted as the wise shamans of the chapters, the chaplains tend to be sidelined or depicted as the screeching lunatics.

His deathwatch mini is him pre-tyranid invasion of Ultramar so basically a younger him. It's why he wields a bolt pistol as he's yet to start using the Combi-Flamer his other mini has. So his old mini is showing him in current 40k lore, his new deathwatch mini shows him in the past.

Abiding to the Codex Astartes as scripture makes marines into dogmatic zealots. The Codex Astartes is meant to be a guide that is is to be pragmatically followed. The latter should be obvious, as Guilliman is pragmatist, not a zealot.
