@@DanSung2021 Welp, this is not so much so a thing of the mind as it is of the heart. Because it is true, Jesus of Nazareth is one of the most documented persons of antiquity, it is a fact He lived on earth, a fact He was crucified and another fact that He was resurrected on the third day (many people died for that, no one would die for something they know to be a lie, it is purely illogical to do such a thing if it isn't true). What is more important is having an open heart, a burning one, you need a thirst for reality and Truth. I personally recommend you to read the whole Scriptures (preferably get an Orthodox Study Bible, the Old Testament is translated from the Septuaginta, aka LXX, and is just much better for someone who wants to know what we believe and whatnot), read the Prologue from Ohrid (it's got readings of the lives of the Saints for each day of the year, there's also from St Theophan the Recluse a book called "Thoughts for each day of the year" or a similar title). You can also find videos on youtube if you want to dwelve deeper and find more stuff. Christ is risen!

@DanSung2021 My friend, I'm a former atheist. My journey to Orthodox Christianity included two years of research. It included a lot of reading. Kyle has a lot of great videos, I discovered his channel recently, and I like the content a lot. You can check his videos. They cover a lot, from atheism to Islam. When you reach the question of which Abrahamic faith is correct, examine carefully everything referenced in this video. The history of the faith, the intricate cross-references across the Bible, the miraculous prophecies that were told in the Old Testament, and are fulfilled in history (like the destruction of the temple and that Christ will come before that). Sam Shamoun is great when it comes to defending Christianity as a whole, he pretty much covers every attack against it (but when it comes to the correct denomination he is very confused, so i don't recommend listening to him about the denomination). Jay Dyer has some very good videos too. In the end, it's a very, very, very long and complicated process. If you have any particular questions, feel free to ask. I recommend you read the Orthodox Study Bible. It will help you understand better. God bless you on your journey!

I don't agree with you that 'judaism' was a religion of Noah. Judaism is by definition the religion of jews. Jews are by definition one of 12 hebrew tribes. When Noah was living, even hebrews weren't a people. When we a talking about judaism, the religion of the jews, of one tribe, it is ALWAYS about rabbinic talmudic one. It is incorrect to name pre-Christian fate a 'judaism'. It is only reinforcing protestant two-covenant heresy and warm appeal to jewish rabbinic fate. Call it whatever you want - pre-christian fate, early abrahamic fate, but please, not the judaism. Hope you understand me Kyle

@@annabanana2623 all of them. The talmud and Kabbalah is littered with paganistic elements. That doesn't necessarily mean that Jews are bad it's just that it's corrupt. That's nonsense. You're appealing to gaps in knowledge to assume that the Jews must be Canaanites in your worldview. The Jews are recorded as being captives in Egypt in 1400BC, and a writing from Nubia in 1350BC has an Egyptian cursing "the nomads of Israel and their desert God YHVH". If they were just Canaanites, they wouldn't be nomadic desert-wanderers, as the Canaanites were specifically a coastal urban people like the Egyptians.

Good video, But I think we could probably use even stronger language... On some level there is no "old" and "new" testament.... its all one "tree" in different stages of life, one more full then the prior, which has grown in the same direction from the beginning of time. The church is israel. The Orthodox Christians are the true heirs of Abraham.

also the old judaism ought be called the hebraic faith, jew just refers to a judean
@thedude99415 ай бұрын
The term Jew has changed meanings over time. Originally Jew meant of the tribe of Judah, after the northern and southern kingdoms split Jew meant of the kingdom of Judah which could refer to all 12 tribes in Judah. Today Jew means someone from the faith of Judaism, and this has been the case since the destruction of the temple.
@user-vv1do1wg1j5 ай бұрын

As an orthodox convert i kind of hope a jew sees this and refutes the statements you make here so we can get input from both sides and perhaps even a debate. I really wanna get into these more from more of a middle ground by seeing what both have to say :)

But what do you even mean by jew? Modern Judaism is based on Rabbinic Talmudic nonsense and objective slander of Christ, or kaballic occult theosophy. They have no defense because the occultic parts of the heretics' traditions has been exposed
@jacobjcamero53355 ай бұрын
I’m an Orthodox Jew who was raised Christian. I’m down for some civil debate. What most people forget is that without the Jews preserving the TaNaK you Christians have no Bible. Not to mention the Written Torah has no vowels; how to pronounce the words in the Torah is a part of the preserved tradition of the Jews. (99% of the people who read the Bible don’t understand that the Jewish women in our nation had to eat their own babies in order to simply survive. The torment that our nation went through to simply preserve the Bible is often completely ignored) Jesus was an observant Jew, so were the disciples. Everything discussed within the New Testament can be understood as Jews practicing Judaism. No one went to church back then. Judaism is the religion OF Jesus Whereas Christianity is the religion ABOUT Jesus
@ObliviAce5 ай бұрын
@@jacobjcamero5335 I dont think im going to debate you but i do have a question: you do realise most christians that know a little bit of church history will 100% agree with you? Not trying to criticise you or pester you but i don't know how this could refute Christianity in any way. Either way, if you answered that i wonder why you actually converted to judaism instead of becoming a noahide. Did you marry a jew? And if you didn't, why did you anyways?
@Firebreath565 ай бұрын
@@jacobjcamero5335There's quite a few problems with this: First and foremost, there's a false equivocation here between modern day jews and old Testament jews. They are not the same. Modern day Judaism is based largely on the Talmud. Old Testament jews had no Talmud, and the practices and beliefs of modern jews would be completely foreign to them. Secondly, it was old Testament jews who preserved the Bible, not modern day rabbinical jews. In addition, we use the Septuagint, which was considered perfectly acceptable to the jews of Alexandria, so we have no concern over the Hebrew originals preservation. And finally, your last statement is completely false. Christianity is not a religion "about" Jesus. Yes, Jesus was a practicing old Testament jew (which again, is not the same as modern day rabbinical jews), but it is Orthodox Christianity that is the continuation of old Testament Judaism. The mosaic law was never meant to be eternal, and there's extremely good evidence that many aspects of trinitarian belief were held by old Testament jews prior to Christ, such as God being multiple persons who are all equally God. Orthodox Christianity is the religion of Jesus, because he is the one who was prophesied in the old Testament, he is the one who walked in the garden with Adam and Eve, dined with Abraham, and spoke to Moses face to face. He is the one who fulfills the law, and fulfills God's promise that all the nations of the world will be blessed by the descendants of Abraham.
