Thank you Fr. Spyridon for your channel. You’ve been a great blessing to me and my wife as we’ve started to study Orthodox theology. I was a Protestant my whole life until I started to study Church history around 3 years ago. At first I was on the road to Roman Catholicism but ultimately the Lord has truly led me and my family to Orthodoxy. I’m now in catechumen classes with my Greek Orthodox parish here in Alaska. I've been going to Divine Liturgy on Sunday for the past 5 straight weeks. I watched online for about 7 weeks straight before I worked up the courage. Lol. I started inquirer's class this past Saturday. This has lead me to doing morning and evening prayers daily. I talked to the priest last Sunday about what the steps were to look into going further to Chrismation. There is nothing quite like the Orthodox Church, it is the one true Church.

That was a lovely and humorous ending Fr. Spyridon! I find it so refreshing when an Orthodox Fr engages into light humor. To me, not only the green screen paranoia is put to rest for those who questioned you on that, but also the wrong notion I've always had, as a Catholic, that my Orthodox brothers and sisters were way too serious and averse to "lighting up things a bit". My heart is filled with joy after watching the PS ending! God bless you Fr Spyridon. Gustavo, Boston , MA

Leave the religion behind is what Taking up the Cross means. The Jews that were hellenized were religious and pious but they did understand what living amongst the impure meant, the spiritual dead. Walking the true narrow path of spiritual purification is what Christ called us unto. And infant baptism doesn't cleanse a believer, only His Spirit baptism does this. Adult baptism is what accompanies the Confession of faith in Yeshua the Messiah, as God the Son. Acts 2:38 -40 (Confession of sins to a priest is merely fellowshipping with another member of the body of Christ that understands what sin means , and that would mean that the sin against the Holy Spirit, He has been grieved) Therefore take up your Cross and leave sin behind. Repent and sin no more. The orthodox believers that have persevered will naturally assert the correct doctrine from the true Scriptural context and interpretation.

@@tamjansan1154Hellenization by Greek Influences, the pagan Babylonian system of religious practices. Anything that appears to be a ritual, is a ritual. Paul debated fiercely with them and much of the rebuke of his letters refer to what a Christian should represent. Amos 5:21-24 21 "I hate, I despise your festivals, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. 22Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the offerings of well-being of your fatted animals I will not look upon. 23Take away from me the noise of your songs; I will not listen to the melody of your harps. 24But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an everflowing stream" compare. Isaiah 1:11-17; Micah 6:6-8; Jeremiah 6:19-21). 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers-none of these will inherit the kingdom of God compare (Romans 1:26-27). It is uncertain whether his opinion would include Jews particularly, However many Jews became members of the governments that had enslaved them, and thoughout the old testament we see that punishment from God was from an accumulating manifest of sin throughout the nation of Israel specifically. When Israel is utterly corrupt, God judges the world, not just Israel.

So the Russians are to be condemned for "meddling" in the own lands because the enemies of took Russians and turned them into something else / weaponized them against the rest of Russia? Like all Bolshevik, Phanar and Jesuit creations, the Ukrainian nation is completely fake. It is of Satan, as is the "Ukrainian Orthodox Church". The Russians were baptised in Kiyv. Ukraine was the military frontier of the Russian Tsardom that was populated by Serbs soldiers. These Serbs eventually assimilated and became part of the Russian nation. These Russians were then turned into Ukrainians by the Bolsheviks. That is the truth. There is freedom & liberation at the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ and the blood that was shed on that cross!!!! Cry at His feet, give Him all the pain & suffering you’ve gone through (he’s knows all about that!) he knows what it’s like to be rejected! He knows what it feels like to be persecuted & not loved! HE KNOWS YOUR HEART, now let Him into every part of your heart! When we surrender everything to him and allow him to shut his light in the dark hurt places of our heart he takes those dead things, he takes the sin that is a result of years of hurt, pain and suffering and he make something beautiful out of it if you allow Him! He did it for me and I know he will do it for you. It was when I began surrendering all to Him that I saw the fruit of doing that. “The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. My love to you dear sister In Christ!!
