Im 53 years old my dynamic hip screw now is 3 years but i decided not to remove it cause i dont want to use crutch for 3 months cause im working as a nurse.

Please consult a doctor about weather you should remove it or not because of it's not removed, after you cross 60, you'll start having cronic pain in your leg which will get worse as you age. Don't condemn yourself to decades of cronic pain for 3 months of relief now

This dynamic hip screw was implanted in my right leg in 1996. Due to condition of my leg the screw and small part came out of flesh in 2011. Then operated and removed. After that I am having problem in walking.

I felt amazing when mine was taken out as it always gave me problems when lying on it, and the bone grew around it and i still have the same problem. I believe they should be removed after the year check up to see that the head of the femur has passed the 12mths danger zone.
