seems like a very good low average cmc deck. im all about efficiency when it comes to my commander decks, so i’ll definitely be building this. I have an urza list, but people dont like playing against that, so ill be rotating commanders it looks like

Oh definitely try it! It's common for people to dislike playing against Urza, but the way this deck goes can have people mesmerized by its interactions! Last week episode #47 shows some cool things it can do :)

You should also have Extraplanar Lens to have each of your islands tap for double mana as well as Gauntlet of Power as those two can give you the extra land needed to explode fast.

They cost a bit too much for cEDH to be fast enough but for slower pods or lesst powerful ones those can be good additions indeed.

I went out for a wizard tribal secondary, I had to sacrifice slots for those 1-2 mana value removal/bounce spells for it, it does leave me open to aggro decks, who knows, I may try this heavy instant/sorcery route later on if I don't see the wizard sub-theme working.

That's a super interesting idea! :) It haven't crossed our minds, but it can definitely see some play if your meta has more targeted removal. For a "top tier" build, it might not fit, however, because the deck runs High-tide and wants to have plenty of islands to eventually go off, as well as there is less removal in more powerfull pods, being the most relevant Assassin's Trophy, and everything else is usually Bounces or Gilded Drakes :)

I may be wrong but I think you’ve said you can use snap caster mage and high tide to combo against any anti etb effects. Snappy is an etb so would not work in this instance unfortunately. I may be misunderstanding however.

The idea behind that sentence is that you can react to a Torpor Orb effect being cast by doing the line explained (Snapcaster + High Tide + Whim) at Instant Speed 3:26 . :)

Wouldn't Gigadrowse be a perfect spell in this deck since it creates a bunch of copies of a spell to tap down a target permanent.

The copies from Replicate are created on the stack, therefore not "cast", therefore it won't trigger Orvar unfortunately. But on a budget can be an interesting tempo card, as you can cast it for UU for instance, use the original on a tapped Island of yours and then the copy be aimed at something from your opponent :)

It didn't cross my mind, but it can be one of the non-basics added to the deck, although the High Tide Plan demands not playing too many non-islands. But to replace stuff like City of Traitors can indeed be a good option! :)
