That would be the last time Jamaica would lose a 4x100m final on the track for ten years.

You do know how dominant the USA is in the 4x400 in history and also the USA has won more major 4x100 than any other country including Jamaica in history. The United States men historically dominated this event through the 20th century, winning 15 Olympic gold medals, including 8 in a row and five IAAF world championships. Carl Lewis ran the anchor leg on U.S relay teams that set six world records from 1983 to 1992, including the first team to break 38 seconds. Jamaica has (2) Olympic golds, in history, here is your history lesson for the day, since you wanted to bring up history...lol

@Jay Man I stated a fact also, why radical nationalist? He mentions Jamaica, crickets from you, miss me with your nonsense...You do know this video is about the USA...smh

But they need to stop declaring UB had NEVER LOST a 4x100m relay. Wtf, he LOST here.

@@Speedfirst this isn't a vid about the usa. It's a vid about the men's 4x100m from the 2007 world champs. The fact that he mentions Jamaica and you bring us back to the 1800s out of insecurity 🤣. How about you join us in the 21st century and tell us why, even with the Jamaicans on hiatus, your men's Olympic team still can't win a medal?

@@Speedfirst still doesn't take away the facts that after this race Jamaica dominated for ten frigging years. 😂

if the baton goes around the track smoothly for Jamaica the world record will be broken... WRITE THAT DOWN!!! did y'all see how asafa ate up like 7 meters? if Jamaica has a good 3rd leg & gets it to asafa within 2 meters of anybody, IT'S A WRAP!!!

Gay was strategiacally placed on the first leg to gain an advantage, with a weaker sprinter in hopes that the final leg would be able to hold the lead if we had one. It worked yet powell did do a fantastic job of pulling in the end. It would be hard to say if they both were on the same leg and received the baton, at the same time what the out come would have been.

I had seen Maurice Greene chasing Mark Lewis-Francis for gold at the 2004 athens and felt that anchor leg by Greene was great. But, this anchor leg by Asafa is far ahead than others and I can't forget this race because of Asafa and not because of USA's gold.

People gotta realize, this was Bolt before his prime. He wasn't a 100m runner back then. In fact it was after these worlds that he really started to train his hardest. Back then he was only the 200 in like 19.9. compare that to what he was doing only a year later. And this was when Powell was top dog, well him and Gay anyway.

One of the only few times I am seeing Powell run through in a final. Impressive, but not as much as the Jamaican coach allowing Bolt to change the baton from left to right hand. Horrible.

Thy shldnt hv put bolt as the 2nd leg and frater as the third. Coz i think frater is comfortable with his left hand whereas bolt his right hand.... Well i guess they did learned from their mistake and amend it during 2008 beijing olympic. Way to go JAMAICA!!!
