Please let me know: The 100(m) World Record was 9.58(s) therefore 4x100(m) WR should be: 4x9.58 = 38,32 (s). Why the 4x100 metter WR was 37,04(s) less than 38,32 (s)?
@prod.german

@@hungcuong9947 the 4x100 relays are a rolling start meaning runners are already running by the time they get the baton, compared to the 100m which starts from the blocks.

I’ll tell you what I find most interesting about this race. Look at how Usain crosses the line. In any other race with a giant gap like that he would’ve cruised the last ten meters. But in this race, he was aware that he was racing for a team and what holding a WR would mean for his teammates so he didn’t let up one bit. Respect!

+Catherine Kirk Beyond the emotional aspect, falling on a track hurts like hell. I ran the 400m in high school. One of my first races, I was 14 and was about to hit 52-53 seconds, which was huge for me, and my legs gave out a few meters from the finish line. The track tore up my chest, shoulder, and face when I rolled, and over a decade later I still have faint scars.

Yes, I'm still watching, and it's 2019. My advice to the Americans now that Bolt has retired, it's a simplistic and very basic aspect the Yanks have lost the plot on, and they have missed it for a good 2 decades or so now :The fastest relay race nations have totally owned the Americans. Why ??? It's incredibly simple : LEARN HOW TO PASS THE FLIPPIN' BATON AND QUIT YOUR CRYING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE BEING FASTER !!! They are faster because they are really as fast as you are ( Americans don't win just by showing up any more ) or better, and they know how to pass the baton A LOT BETTER. You're a bunch of pompus butterfingered klutzes with a God complex. God reaches down and hands you the Olympic gold medals every 4 years. Bad news Yanks : God really doesn't care which team wins, if he did, his favourite team(s) would never lose, and frankly, as anyone in the rest of the world can tell you, we don't see that happening.
