Thanks so much Critical! It is definitely a cool place and I JUST found out about it! I used to pass through Osaka station all the time for work and am sad that I never knew about this gem back then! Next time you're in Osaka, definitely visit this place!

Paradise for me, I would looove to try everything to get an impression of what to expect around Osaka. Such a beautiful video, loaded with a huge variety of delicious food, it was a joy to watch. Thanks to you both^^//

Thank you so much my friend! Good to see you again :D Yes, this is a wonderful spot for grabbing a bite to eat! I'm not sure if you've noticed, but it's full of old people. It's actually really popular with older folks, as they grew up with the snack park. But it's also a great place for younger people too, especially around the evening when the shops sell drinks to go along with the meals! I really think you'd enjoy eating here a lot! So many varieties of foods for super low prices! Mrs. Eats and I are already planning on going back again ;)

I've been to Osaka but sadly i was not there! I'm totally going there next April! The first time i was in Osaka i tried Oden at a market, it was freaking delicious, fell inlove with daikon!
@StraightUpEats4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! You're Awesome! You'll get to visit the Snack Park soon then! It really is a great place to eat, so I'm sure you're going to love it! Also, odem is awesome, isn't it? Daikon is one of my favorites! Another one that you should try is called "mochi bukuro". It's mochi and meat wrapped up like a pouch in a sheet of fried tofu. It absorbs all of the awesome broth and is just ooey, gooey, and delicious!

That little food market looks awesome! How many stalls were there? I wanna try that omurice and ikayaki!
@StraightUpEats4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ray! There are 15 stalls there. 14 are permanent and one is a temporary stall that has its offerings rotated. When we went, it was set up as a spot to get coffee, but it'll change throughout the year. I'm sure you'll really enjoy the omurice! It was so soft and silky with excellent flavor! Ikayaki was interesting and although I don't see myself craving it, I'm glad I got to try it!

WOW! Ms. Eats is a natural in front of the camera! I need to try that Curry Omurice. I tend to avoid tomato sauces so this sounds like a great alternative for me! The ginger on the bonito looked a little too fibrous for my liking but all the fish looked incredibly fresh and well prepared! That ramen seems like s steal for 350円

Thanks so much! She's super flattered with your comment! She actually told me to remove her from the video because she felt stiff, but she didn't believe me when I told her that she did a good job! Now she feels better after your comment, heheh! Yes, we were really blown away by the quality of food here for the price! Honestly, a three dollar omurice doesn't sound like it'd be that good, but gosh darnit, that thing was HEAVEN! It definitely is due to it being part of the Hanshin department store. Hanshin is known for having the best and tastiest food when it comes to department store food. When you make it down to Osaka, definitely give this place a visit! I'm sure you'll love it!

Another awesome video Ken (& Ms. Eats!). Both very natural on camera. Very entertaining (& funny... grandpa), and delicious looking. :) Are you shooting with your iphone (4K)? & editing in final cut? ...just curious. Looks great!
@StraightUpEats4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jim, thanks for watching! Mrs. Eats is happy from your comment! She doesn't think she looks and sounds natural on camera, but she is! I think she'll realize it the more screen time she gets! As for gear, I'm shooting with the GH5 (hence the terrible pulsing in the background, lol) and the osmo pocket. Both shot at 1080 and upscaled to 4k. Apparently, KZbin uses different compression methods depending on whether you upload 1080 footage or 4k footage. If you upload 4k (even if it's upscaled from 1080), there's less compression, which means that your fake "4k" footage will look better than if you just uploaded at 1080. Editing done in Premiere (I've since jumped ship from macs!)
