Fugu is something I would never taste! It scares me but I have so much respect for someone who eat it.
@johnsarkissian55198 ай бұрын
When I was visiting Kyoto, not being able to read the menu, we ordered fugu by mistake. We didn’t have access to wifi to get a translation of the menu, and none of the staff people in the restaurant spoke English. The waitress could only say “fish” and that’s what we ordered. We only found out what it was that we had eaten after we went back to the hotel and could google it. Luckily we are still alive, and no, eating it is not worth it. It’s actually very bland. In general, I love fish. I eat fish at least five times a week. But fugu was totally tasteless. Mind you, we had ordered a hotpot, and fugu was one of the ingredients. The way we cooked it was basically poaching it in boiling water. That was it!
