Excellent boat and history to restore! My Dad worked at Lyman from 1969 until the closure and I worked there in the late 70s-early 80s.

Any time you come across an old clinker you think, How much of this planking is going to need replacing? That's where Lymans are different: I don't know exactly what their formula was but Lyman planking is definitely different and definitely Exceptional, Like it came out of an autoclave. I mean, just look at every hull in this video; the planking is pretty much flawless, regardless of its age!
