What a great message at the end. Wisdom at its finest. It’s incredible that despite his age and issues, he was in so good mental shape. I think he managed that by staying active and relevant.

Oscar Niemeyer is one of my favourite architects, he brought elegance to modernist architecture, and expanded its vocabulary with the use of curves, colour and tasteful decoration.

In his 101 he still was the architect of the future, greatest architect of 20 century and after. He inspired many modern art composer. Man with strong ideology and impression. Capital of Brazil and Palacio Alvarado, HQ of communist party in Paris those creations always be the world’s heritages.

Brazil: you must be so proud to have Oscar Niemeyer as your own! He somehow integrated the culture of Brazil (both Spanish, and native) into his modern architectural design, making buildings that somehow incorporate and project all the facets of your amazing country. Niemeyer is like Russia's Dostoyevski, or Germany's Beethoven. It's a shame he was unable to design more things in other countries: everything he made is a universal classic, and I hope it stands for 1000 years as a symbol of Brazilian pride!

Actually Brazil was colonized by Portugal, not Spain. But yes, both countries have similarities in their iberic aesthetic and influenced brazilian culture

@@lorenzodetoni4173 Sorry, yes, people in Western countries forget the origins of Brazil. You must know that the Portuguese connection (and language) makes the place much more fascinating! It truly is a wonderful country!

@@NinoNiemanThe1st You don't have to be sorry, in the end that's not your personal fault. Also we should not forget (as some people in Brazil try to) that all Africa and native people's influence in our culture is just essential for what we've become. I feel happy you find it's wonderful :D Cheers mate

@@lorenzodetoni4173 Well thankyou, but it is my personal fault. I was well-aware that Brazil's colonization was Portuguese, but made a mistake referring to Spain - something westerners unfortunately do too often. Regardless, Niemeyer's architecture, with its blends is staggeringly beautiful I think. I hope Brazil looks after them, whether in Brasilia or elsewhere, they are truly human treasures, and breathtaking, you should be so proud of him, although I'm sure his influence on other Brazilian architects must be huge, and we will see other magnificent structures from them in years to come!
