*How to make this trick 100% foolproof* For people who have a doubt that this doesn't work 100% if the spectator deals more cards than the setup, read ahead *What you need to do* Keep the same setup, it will be of 17 cards Trick is to handover just these cards to the spectator and it will be 100% success You can pull this off in many ways, two easy methods are mentioned here Only thing different is presentation so read carefully Both are explained *Divide packets into 3/4th and 1/4th parts, ratio of 3:1* 1) Divide the packets in 3/4th and 1/4th parts between top and bottom respectively You will select spectator's card from bottom packet and hide it 2)Spread the top packet (3/4th) face up and show all cards are random Watch the random card which comes after your last 6 or 7 Divide the cards into two piles from there and turn them over Do this quickly 3) Use Magician's choice and force the spectator to select the packet with setup Now the trick is full proof since all cards that spectator has got in hands are setup cards *Divide packets equally at the beginning, Ratio of 1:1* 1) Only different thing here is that when you first divide the packets, take about half of cards 2) Spread the top packet The setup consists of 17 cards, when you spread the cards out and then make it into packets, bigger one is the setup packet of 17 cards and smaller one has no use Be quick here 3) Again use Magician's choice here saying that spectator decided to discard the small packet and hand them the entire setup packet of 17 cards Again your trick is full proof and it will work wonders If you found this useful, hit a like If you have more doubts reply in comment, I'll guide you 🙂

I have a tip for puling this trick off when someone deals more than the setup: Add all the 8s in the setup just like you added the 6s and 7s. Just that when someone stops at an 8, ask them to stop when they are about to deal the 8th card. Now, point at the pile of 7 cards that they just dealt and ask them to look at the card they stopped at (the top card). Works every time for me!

It is a good trick, no doubt about that, but most trained eyes should catch the false shuffle, break, etc. (I did and I am not that trained). The only thing that you can't "catch" is the setup but you know there is one since there is a false shuffle. Again, great trick.

Oscar Owen Of course! I’m a big supporter of your channel. I’ll be starting my own KZbin channel later this year and was wondering what software program do you use to edit your videos? I am not going to copy your format at all bc I don’t believe in stealing creative content. I have the money together for cameras. I just need proper software to make my videos look the way I decide. Anyways. Keep up the great work and if you have a moment, I’d appreciate it if you’d let me know.

@@KinnereyB Hi Brain thats fantastic! I use adobe after effects for the super cinematic intros - but that requires knowledge of 3D objects and rendering etc. For most of my videos I use Adobe Premiere Pro. However it is less about the software and more about how you film the trick. I always have a single light source and a black sheet behind me. I then color grade my videos on Premiere Pro to make them look higher quality. I use Adobe Audition to record my voice with a Blue Yeti microphone. Hope that helps and I look forward to your videos!
@KinnereyB5 жыл бұрын
Oscar Owen Thank you so much dude! When my channel starts you’ll be one of the first I let know. My plan is to start assuming no one has touched a deck and assuming experienced magicians will be tuning out n as well with the goal to offer additions no matter the skill level. Within the first year I’ll be transitioning from novice, to beginner, to intermediate. Year two (of everything goes to plan) will be more advanced effects. But apart from necessary moves as pre reqs, it’ll be 95% trick baes similar to yours. You’ve helped inspire me to give it a go!

After reading a lot of comments might I suggest that before you perform any sleight of hand (cards or otherwise) it is imperative that you practice unceasing until you are absolutely polished and you almost don't have to think of the set-up, patter and sequence of handling when executing this (or any other) routine.

This is a good trick and I do know if it. Saw David Blaine performed it and did a tutorial for that group of people. It was an older video. One thing to add if your cards are not too old and used. Since I can't do that fake riffle shuffle like you did at the beginning of the video, I'll do a faro shuffle instead. Easy to faro if your cards are not too old. First, I will put all the 6s and 7s on top of the stack. It doesn't have to be a perfect faro but, the top half has to be perfect because that's where your 6s and 7s are. And also make sure one indifferent card from the bottom half goes on top of your 6s or 7s. You can then do some fake cuts after and proceed with the trick. Overall, I thought your performance was good and I look forward to all of your videos. I love your cinematography and your editing skill especially in that "The Magic trick that fooled Steve Jobs".

This trick works best with two volunteers. Ask person 1 to cut the deck. Give him/her the prepared half and tell him/her to sit on the cards. Then get volunteer 2 to choose a card. Once you have forced this card into 7th position get volunteer 2 to sit on their stack of cards. Now volunteer 1 recovers his stack from his hiding place and "stops" at either a 6 or a 7. After showing where he/she "could" have stopped get volunteer two to recover their stack, deal to card 6/7 et voila.....you can also ask the question "what I'd love to know is how Mr . A not only knows what card Mrs. B has chosen, he also knows where it is and has found it?
