I love how you say this is the holy grail of card tricks because it’s one of the ones I show people all the time. I never knew the name of it but I know of the Klondike shuffle. Obviously yours is much cleaner than mine 😅

Thank you Oscar, you're videos are the best & taught me the most.
@therealBocaStudios11 ай бұрын
The key to these tricks is to create routine around the effect, Lenert Green wonderfully uses these types of displays in his routines, he is a masterful example of how to take simple and write it into a seemingly complex routine, all about storytelling. Oscar I first became aware of your channel when you did Houdini trick. I love it, thanks for the inspiration in a most enjoyable way

Pretty neat ACAAN, seams like a good beginner/intermediate to start with before you move on to the harder ones, I remember back in the day when I was just starting out, the very first ACAAN I ever learned was with a svengali deck
@blitzfire2059 ай бұрын
As soon as you did the top and bottom card grab, I instantly knew this trick as this was one of my go to tricks to do on friends
@markdavies268111 ай бұрын
Perhaps not a true ACAAN but still absolutely mind blowing! Some of us are still on the quest… if you’re brand new to card magic and you haven’t studied the berglas effect, perhaps this may give you that first glimpse into the holy grail of card magic. And to be fair, you can perform this version your whole career with only elementary techniques but still fool everyone and anyone. Chapeau to you Mr. Owen, this is a powerful effect to teach! It’s now firmly in my repertoire
@TheSleightDoctor11 ай бұрын
I think Dani Daortiz has done the best, purest version of this effect I've seen - although like Berglas himself, how he gets to the denouement varies somewhat. I don't think there's a 100% hands-off way to do it without using deceptions that violate the unwritten contract, i.e. stooges or confederates, post-production editing or camera trickery. Either you force the card or the number. That's always going to be the compromise...unless there's some new innovation that none of us have imagined yet.
@markdavies268111 ай бұрын
@@TheSleightDoctor absolutely! Dani is a pure master, and agreed - his ACAAN is incredible. His handling is so chaotic and wonderful! Artists like Dani and Lennart Green are the reason I got into card magic

5:53 here’s is a idea for controlling their card to the bottom in a more deceptive way. Ed Marlos convincing control. You seem to really lose their card in there. Plus you can have the spectator put and push the card in and you have full control. Just a nice a bit more deceptive way :)

For me as a child, the 7:34 shuffle was the first kind of shuffle I learned, because I wasn't clever enough to actually give a deck of cards a legitimate shuffle. This was the only shuffle I could do and I guess it's an accidental trick
