Olivia's speech was made purely by unexpected surprise for sure, bc everybody was talking about Glenn Close finally will get the Oscar she deserved for so long... but she did not... I couldn't help seeing the disappointment on her face even she'd hide the obvious. She expecting to win I think, just by the gown she's wearing. golden, cape as a winner would be... tough luck, I really hope she'll get it next time she's a amazing actress!!

I thought that this years show was actually pretty great. All of the winners rightfully deserved what they got and were genuinely appreciative. There was no cringey host, and the performances were all amazing :D

Now it's a competition of how many "Oscar friendly" elements are there (and we all know which are those, 90% political). I used to watch movies to get away from that shit, but now only low budget movies are free of it.

It is also about letting go off differences like race and all people working towards a common goal. It is one of the most political stories ever told in the modern era!

Wow! Such a weird feeling! Personally for me. The feeling like the world has strangely acquired the same taste in cinema as me. In 2010-2015's there were no nominees I liked. In 2010-2015 my favourite actors were: Olivia Coleman and Laura Dern. My favourite director was: Bong Joon-Ho. Yaaay for 2019 and 2020! They finally start swooping all the awards! Yes, there were cringe moments and a couple snubs I didn't like, but for the most part, this was the best oscars I can think of in a while. Literally everyone who deserved an award got one, and the host absence worked so well. Though Spider-Verse is the winner for me.
