you know, I have to agree with you. there was no host and I LOVED this Oscars show for the first time in a longgggg time. Usually, the host is kind of awkward, forcing jokes but this show did very well.

His body of work is only small because for years he was turned down for parts due to his ethnicity. That isnt a problem anymore. He already has an Emmy for Best TV actor and now Oscar for best movie actor. Have you ever watched Mr Robot? Some of the most incredible acting I have ever seen.

Don't even get me started on the story, which couldn't be more glorified by the band itself. If this film would have been honest and shown how fame and freddy's lifestyle really effected their history it would have been a great film. Instead we got some puff piece thanks to Brian May. My fave moments include Bradley and Lady singing together..#1 favorite. (Or maybe it’s the respect and admiration they show each other.) Rami Malek and Lady Gaga’s acceptance speech along with the lady who won Best Actress. Don’t know her work but she took the edge off the others NOT winning. She’s funny and seemed humble. Oh, and Queen...and Melissa’s ridiculous animal get-up with puppet...She’s such a hoot. Always good to see Babs, too, even if only a few moments.

Rami winning the Oscar was my best but his fall from stage is understandable. He was nervous and happy during his speech - I can’t imagine how it felt like receiving the award after all of his years of hard work to achieve this finally....and oh oh Regina King and Olivia Coleman - the night was filled with honest raw speeches. No plasticity and celebrity ego crap 😊 it was a fun Oscar night. Really good😊

I still think that title belongs to the 2009 Hugh Jackman hosted Oscars. That show had the narrative of "making a movie" and that gave some structure to the show and allowed the categories to flow into each other seamlessly.

Loved the opening! It was so fantastic the academy did that. They knew they couldn’t nominate Queen for any musical categories, but it just would have felt wrong to have BoRhap at the Oscars without a honoring the music of Queen. It was such a perfect way to do it and totally set the tone for the night.
