Coulda shoulda been film of the year. I didn't see it until 2020, and it blew me away. A masterpiece pure and simple.

The only recognition the academy gave them at the Oscars was a spot in the highlight reel. This film was better than any other film from 2018

How the hell did Green Book even rate next to this...... pervasive stupidity & ignorance, so relevant, too much so, that's why.

This movie was so perfectly balanced between humor and seriousness, and all performances by the actors were top tier. This movie is honestly decade defining in one of the most important and controversial issues throughout the 2010’s. It’s not a simple one sided, exaggerated movie, but it’s realistic. Their is so much to love about this movie.

No best original writing, no best actor or supporting actor, wtf. This AND The Hate U Give were ignored.

I found the message of The Hate U Give was very good but all the other aspects of the film weren't done that well... There is no supergood editing, no crazy cinematography, no great acting and the script fell short in some scenes... I liked the movie but it's more of a mainstream less well crafted film

My favorite movie this year. Really hope it gets the oxygen it needs. While it tackles some very timely topics, it is more than just a message movie. It's a movie about what it means to be a person, and how we all try and navigate life the best way we know how. Imperfectly. Beautifully. Aspirationally.

Glad to see this movie getting recognition!

Ooooh. This is clarifying. I thought the "Monster" that Jess had heard was the song Rafa wrote, rather than the poem. But the poem is definitely heavier and much closer to the theme of "Blindspotting." I see. "Quiet, Rafa. When you have statues, you can talk." OMG! xD! Carlos' videos are actually pretty amazing. BARS is also amazing. Go Janina.

This and "Suspiria" were the most offensively ignored films of 2018, all the more horrifying because of the films they were snubbed in favor of.

(Apart from the subject of this vídeo, naturally) *Best "popular movie"? Are you kidding? This is a sort of prejudice. Furthermore (and even worse): every single category of art and technique are essentials for making movies. To present some awards during the breaks? In the last years there were protests movements, against "Oscar so white" and so on. You guys want to be the target of this year's protests?*
