Olivia Colman is the smartest, loveliest and the most talented person I know. I love her Leda SO MUCH

It’s not underrated at all. It has received a ton of critical acclaim and has been nominated for several top awards, including Oscar.

Many would disagree with me but nonetheless I’ll say this’ Jessie Buckley was better than Olivia Colman was in this film having comparatively lesser screen time

Interesting take. Jessie got the showier role, she is the one doing all the “bad acts” - struggling with kids, adultery. She is the one we see leaving her family. I felt that was the easier role to play and often seen in films before. Olivia had to convey her internal struggles in the aftermath of all those past bad acts and shaped who she is now in present day. She does this mostly without any dialogue. We don’t see complex film mothers like older Leda. So that was more impressive to me. In all, I think neither performance could have excelled without the other.
